Given you're looking at three good brands, I'd suggest you try to see each one working and make your decision that way.
What one person thinks is great picture quality, somebody else might not. I for one have never been taken with the picture quality on Sony sets and would buy Panasonic or JVC in preference, but others would disagree with that. |

Out of those three I would probably suggest the Samsung?, but the sound quality is probably really poor. |

Just brought the Toshiba and I'm quite happy with it but as above have heard it is just a rebadged cheapy. Picture and sound good no complaints.

If so where? This will not be the main tv, its just for bedroom. Nigel, Are samsung, small toshibas, and LG poor brands - or is sound just poor on all small tv's? ![]() I was thinking of a cheap tv originally but then thought spending a bit more on a more widely know brand would be better in long term (back up and more info in forums). |

The Toshiba 20W330D, which is pretty similar, got a five star review in "What HiFi" mag seemingly.
I've just set up the 19 inch version for my dad and it seems good. The sound was the best I found after listening to lots of the things. I've always liked the Toshiba stuff I've had in the past. |

Have eventually puchased 19" LG LS4D lcd for bedroom. Went to currys and they price matched Dixons (as they should its the same firm) so got it for £234.
I know some will say better prices online and query the LG over Toshiba, but for the specs and the price I thought it was an ok deal from a high street shop. Thanks for those who offered advice. Now looking for a freeview digital dvd/hdd recorder, was considering Panasonic ez77. Anyone got one of these? |

Ian,
did you ever get a recorder that worked with the LG LS4D? I have spent the last 4 days banging my head against the wall, trying to get a signal from my new LG LS4D's Freeview receiver to my DVD recorder. The best I could get was an output of the *analogue* TV signal via the composite video part of my SCART cable, I got nothing via the RGB pins. tried 3 different cables. Nice picture, appalling bad speakers. and today it has started switching itself on for no reason ![]() any reason why I should not take it back? Dave |
