Ok stay with me on this one
Just before Euro2006 i purchased a 32" HD Ready and was well chuffed with it but never had sky HD at the time . The problems started when i did get it installed and found out that it didn't have the HDMI slot on the TV , instead it had a DVI slot instead . The SKY boy had an adapter but although picture was ok there was no sound , he eventually had to wire it up through many leads but noneless it gave an excellent HD picture . My problem now is i have bought a PS3 and now need to upgrade . Its in my bedroom and 32" is probably about the biggest i can go but i was hoping to go down the 1080p line so i wouldn't need to upgrade again for a while . Looking about the main websites , 37" seems to be the norm for 1080p but will probably be too big and are a bit pricey for me to be honest .
I saw a Toshiba on Comet's website http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/p...=specification is this any good i know it isn't 1080p ? and would i notice a massive difference between this and a 1080p set .
How long do you think before the 1080p prices start to tumble ?
Thanks in advance for any advice and for bearing with me

This is a 1080p set, it's not full HD though.

Whether you will notice any difference between this and a full HD set (of the same quality) depends on how close you sit to it.

In general the picture quality is more determined by other features affecting quality than by resolution, don't be seduced into thinking that a 1920x1080 is always better than one with a lower resolution - often they are worse.

Yes, the difference is far less than you think - side by side you can only just tell the difference on broadcast HD.
