Digihome DTR80 timer over run and skip time setting

My trusty old Techwood PVR160TW recently died with 1 weeks guarantee to run (phew).
I have replaced it with a Digihome DTR80 from Argos which appears to be an updated version of my previous. Whilst the new unit can record two channels at once, I have noticed a couple of features that I can't seem to access.

On the Techwood:
I could adjust to start every recording early and finish late.
I could also adjust the amount time it jumped when the skip button was pressed.

With the Digihome:
I can only set the recordings to 'overrun' their timer by manually adjusting each timed program.
I can see no option to adjust the skip time, it skips forward 2 mins.

Is that the way it is on these units or am I missing something?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Your new unit is based on the Vestel T816 hardware whereas the old one is based on the T810 hardware. On the T816 recordings are set by default to be "Event" type in order to implement the Freeview Playback Accurate Recording functionality. They have removed the Auto Padding option.

Skip is now rectricted to a fixed value of 2m.

So you are not missing anything. Well apart from the functionality you had before.
