Hi,
They run in accordance with the channel owners schedule, whether Virgin will run for 24 hours is up to them, but we will broadcast it if they do.

Regards

I believe they do run 24 hours on Sky but they have to limit their broadcasting hours on freeview to lack of space. There's some shows on Virgin 1 in the mornings that i'd like to see.

It's true, Virgin 1 does run 24 hours on satellite.

However, I believe that Virgin 1 is one of the *additional* Freeview channels received via DTT isn't it and not via DSL. That's why you're getting the restricted hours.

For Virgin 1 to expand it's hours to 24hrs a day it'll need to sign an agreement with Tiscali to switch to the DSL service - and I would suspect that would be more likely to happen as part of a package which also included the other VMG channels like Living, Bravo and Trouble.

Hello,

I'm asking these questions on behalf a friend who wants to migrate to Tiscali and I should be grateful for any feedback that can be offered.

1. My friend uses Linux on his PC and has heard that Tiscali does not support/is unable to work with that operating system. Is this true?

2. He wants a Tiscali television service downstairs and upstairs. Is this possible using the Telsey box? If so what is the means of connection - by some form of cable or by a second Telsey or other STB?

3. Can a Videosender system be attached to the Telsey STB to transmit a signal upstairs?

4. The Telsey box can be attached to a normal RF aerial to take a Freeview feed. Can it also be used as the conduit for a Freesat signal using a Sky box understanding that some form of adaptor might be needed?

Tiscali probably won't offer support if he runs into problems but it'll certainly work.

You can only have one set top box.

Should be OK but some on-demand content is copy-protected so could cause a few problems.

Not sure what you mean. The box won't be able to use or pass through the signal from a dish.

Just to say, I use a video sender to send Tisclali to my bedroom and I don't have any problems.
