Everyone has a different view of what "good quality" means.

Kef, B&W, Monitor Audio, Sonance are the sort of brands I think of when somebody asks for good quality, but they aren't £33 per pair

If you can find them have a look at Flatline RS-650-IC. It's a name you won't have heard before but I rate these really highly. Big name brands are asking close to £400 a pair for the features and build quality you get with these Flatlines at £250. They come with a 5yr warranty too.

Depends on the application you need them for. In ceiling speakers are not the prime location for Surround or Hi-fi sound so it is not worth going overboard and spending £100s. If sound quality has a high importance then make a shortlist to your budget then try and find a dealer or dealers where you can have a listen to them first. If they are for background / ambience music then the cheaper ones will probably suffice.

Friends of mine used a couple of Kef Ci50R speakers in their dining room which are a similar size to a GU10 spotlight fitting. I thought the sound quality was actually very good for their size. Kef do a whole range of ceiling speakers some of which use similar innards to their acclaimed KHT 2005.2 Surround Speakers.
