Lg Dvd Recorder Dr7800

I just purchased a new tv lg 19LS4D which has freeview.I have linked it to my dvd recorder with scart leads.It works alright apart fom the dvd recorder will not tune in the digital channels.Am i doing something wrong or is my recorder unable to do digital?

you need to connect using RF cable as well so dvd recorder can get signal from aerial in roof

aerial to dvd recorder rf in

dvd recorder rf out to tv aerial in

tv scart to dvd av 1

get the digital channels only normal five channels

You don't get the digital channels on your analogue recorder, but by setting it to record from the SCART socket that connects to your TV, you should be able to record the channel the TV is displaying?. YOu need to be aware though, that only one of the SCART's on the TV may output the tuner signal, and you may need to enable it on the TV menu somewhere.

A far better option is to buy a cheap FreeView box and connect that to the recorder, so you can record one programme while you watch another.

Put recorder onto av channel recorded a digital channel but all i got was the sound no picture.Swapped round scart leads still the same only sound no picture.

Thanks for help guys.I have finally found solution i put scart lead in av2 on tv and the other end in av1.Now i can record all digital channels
