I am in a state of total nervous expectation about Rhydian singing Oh Holy Night tonight. I thnk that it is the most beautiful and moving Christmas song. The "fall on your knees" makes me want to do just that and I'm not very Gospel greedy.

I have been trailling through You tube and here are some of my favourites and I fully expect Rhydian's version to be up there with them.

Celine Dion

Very powerful

Billy Gilman

This young man is amazing

Charlotte Church & Placido Domingo

I have to admit that I uded to think that Charlotte Church was a wee bit over-hyped but this is beautiful.

( and old placido can hold a tune too ) )

Should also listen to Nat King cole's version. It makes me cry every time.
I am hoping that this is the version he will be doing.

I'm nervous too. If he pulls it off then he'll be a god!
BTW I think Mariah Carey's version is the best.

Il Divo and G4 have lovely versions on their album. Andy Abraham performed it beautifully in the final two years ago. I don't expect Rhydian to be any less amazing and I hope justice is done.

My all time favourite Christmas song and I really hope Rhydian sings it unaccompanied.

I'm surprised Mariah Carey's version hasn't been mentioned. AMAZING!

And yes, Rhydian nailed it good and proper!

I thought Michelle McManus' version was superb, better than Rhydian's, even though I think Rhydian is great!

It's my favourite Christmas song of all time, I'm afraid I didn't like Rhydian's version, my favourite has to be Michelle Mcmanus, followed by Celine Dion.

Hurrah

So that was Rhyd's first song covered by Aled..

Rhyd Connection to Aled 2.... Aled "launched" Katherine Jenkins on his first tour as an adult too!
