on a recent thread i wrote about my new panasonic 42 inch plasma vibrating even on a low volume.to john lewis credit they have agreed to give me a full refund.i have spoken to numerous people about this and have been surprised by the amount of people with the same problem who just put up with it.now,i am looking to buy a new tele but am worried that i will get the same problem eg. a vibration at intermittent times on differant sounds and frequencies which makes the cabinet vibrate.does anyone else have this problem and am i being fussy in expecting an expensive tele not to vibrate on a low volume.

You've got plastic cabinets, crappy speakers, not enough room inside the set for the speakers, and lots of bits inside that can rattle - it's really not a good setup for zero rattling!.

They are really made to be used with surround sound systems, so the TV's own sound isn't usually very clever.

I guess you might even be able to improve reliability by not using the speakers in the TV.

danrac I agree it aint alot to ask for, I had a Hitachi (yes I know the Shame!) 27" lcd about four years ago, with the volume up about 1 third the cheap casing vibrated with a buzzing like effect through the whole t.v. this was one of the many things that I disliked about it.
