Well their are two options judging from the quote

1) Jack and Ronnie have a huge bust up and jack decides he wants to hurt her the way to do that is by pallying up to atchie and planning some sort of way of bringing her down
2) Jack is planning to bring archie down because of what he did to ronnie even though they are not together at the time but it proves he still loves her enough to put himself out their.

I think it is more likely to be the second option but with ee you never really know lol

I don't even think it's Ronnie they are talking about..... Jack seemed to forget about Janine chaining him to the radiator.

According to future tidbits there is supposed to be some sort of ronnie/Jack storyline towards the end of the year. It doesn't say they get back together, but hints that the romantic element isn't finished. I can't see them getting back together anytime soon though. I can see Jack teaming up with Archie to break Joel and Ronnie up though.

I thought he got his revenge with the car lot - surely if jack was going to do anything about that he would have done it already

Is anyone else confused?

1) Why is Ronnie acting like Jack is the one who should be begging?!
2) Why is Jack doing his sarky comments if he wants Ronnie back?

Are we supposed to see Ronnie avoiding Jack as she wants to get over him, whilst consumed with thoughts of Joel and Jack's subtle attempt at getting Ronnie back. ie. speed dating her and then his niece as a way of not doing the event.

As for Joel; has anyone else noticed how Ronnie remembers everything and him next to nothing which just reads to me as he had more of an affect on her life than the other way round, and Ronnie is for him, now, a beautiful lady to help him remeber his school days as a stud when he is so "ordinary".

It's not making much sense. Ronnie came back calm around Jack and now suddenly "hates him". Especially when she was in the wrong this time.

I think joel had more of an affect on ronnie's life because of danielle, joel hasn't let losing a child have an affect on how he lives his life, he has got over it and moved on ronnie has never moved on from it and has let it dictate how she lives. I dont think ronnie is so much a way of joel living in the past i think his marriage is dead and along has come this gorgeous woman who is interested in him and he is attracted to her. I thought Joel would be a bit of sleaze from what i had read about him but actually seems like a decent guy and he reminds me alot of danielle, i think had more of him in her than ronnie.

Decent? Jack treated Ronnie better than Joel is treating his wife and kids. I would say weak myself. A beautiful woman flatters him when he is suffering a midlife crisis and feels his marriage is stale. Therefore, it is okay to leave your wife and kids only a few weeks of meeting a woman you know nothing about, except the past (which he vaguely remembers). Leaving his kids devastated at the breakup of their parent's marriage due to some woman (in their opinion) taking their dad away. Decent men don't commit adultery. For me, it is one thing cheating when dating and another when married. He should have ended his marriage before getting with Ronnie imo and should have dealt with it more rationally than he does with three young children involved. It is a lot of heartache to subject kids to without fully getting to know each other as people now. So far it is all about the past. How can Ronnie say she loves Joel and vide versa when they have only had discussions about the past!

I meant from what we have seen atm he seems like a decent guy but obviously that can change the more we see of him - imo ronnie is behaving just as badly whether she is in the right frame of mind or not, throwing herself at a married man, demanding he leave his wife and kids for her. I think he gave her the card as just a gesture and didn't expect her to call but she is digging in the past and is going to cause alot of pain and suffering just as much as he is, even after his wife has begged her to stay away for the sake of her children she still goes after him - i must say though if ee were planning on ruining the character and having opinions of her change then they are going the right way about it because is not going to come across well over the next few weeks and i can see alot of people turning on the character - i dont think they have wrote well for ronnie since danielles death it seems rushed and she hasn't grieved at all which considering the way she reacted when she was holding danielle in her arms is something you would have expected, ee need to sort themselves out quickly because they have ruined roxy and now they are doing the same to ronnie.

Oh I never said Ronnie wasn't behaving badly. I'm a little less bothered about her actions though as she is grieving/losing the plot and clearly obsessed with Joel. From his point of view, he is married, has children he should be thinking of and could say no. He isn't grieving or suffered a traumatic experience recently. He also doesn't seem to share Ronnie's remembrance of the past, showing that it clearly didn't mean as much to him as it does to Ronnie. I disagree we haven't seen Ronnie grieving. We have via her talk to Jack about Danielle's face, through the christening, through her desire for another baby, through the lockets. You'd never see someone like Ronnie openly grieving. It's her character to keep things bottled up; but it comes out in her erratic behaviour, out of character doings and random outbursts.

It's like her situation with Jack. If she had moved on she would be able to stand more than 4 minutes with him, and there would be no comeback from them both. It does annoy me a little this time as strictly speaking Ronnie was in the wrong this time, not Jack. She should be apologising to him. The fact she hasn't shows me that she still believes she was doing it for the good of them and that she still wants a baby. But Joel isn't going to give her one given he has three already and I couldn't see him putting his children through further heartache.

My main concern is them showing an increasingly desperate and volatile Ronnie. this then could be used as to an argument as to why she would kill Archie. But killing archie would mean she would need to receive a punishment and that is when good characters end up leaving. The only way would be if it was self defense. But Archie is a lot of things; but he isn't a killer.

I don't know about that - he very VERY nearly killed Danielle. I think he could definitely be driven to it. Whether he'd be driven to killing his own daughter is another matter, but maybe he could try to kill Jack if he was threatened enough by him, or if Jack tries to double-cross him (..because I do not buy all this Archie/Jack teaming up. Jack MUST have other motives) So yeah, if he tried to kill Jack, maybe Ronnie/Jack could kill him in defence. That might work.

I have no doubt that Ronnie would try to kill Archie if pushed far enough. Like you said, she's very desperate and volatile right now, and she I don't doubt she wouldn't.

Ronnie's definitely loosing the plot. It's quite painful watching the behaviour toward Joel, and it's just gonna get worse. Poor thing..

He couldn't go through with it though could he, he wanted to but didn't do it - in archie's head everything he does is for the best he doesn't think he is hurting people when infact he does, i think he loves ronnie but maybe a little bit too much, he seems to involve herself in everything she does, interfering in every aspect of her life because he think she needs him. I could see ronnie killing archie whether she was sane or not she has a cold nasty streak which we have seen in parts so if she was pushed into a corner i could see her snapping, but like its been stated before if she does kill archie it would most likely be the beginning of the end for the character because theirs only one way they go after that and that is down, i couldn't see ee putting it as self defence it isn't dramatic enough for them to have ronnie kill him in cold blood, kiss his gravestone like she promised it would have much more of an effect. I could see her running to jack him helping her it stayin a secret for 6/7 months then it coming out it was her who did it.

I'm sorry, but sane Ronnie is not a killer. A huge part of the Ronnie we have been shown is that she takes the moral highground a great deal. She has a temper, but that is why I said I could see her doing it as self defense. The horror of killing someone would drive Ronnie to kill herself. If it happened and she did do it, I think she would go the route of Zoe/Sam who struggled with the guilt. That is unless she is shown to really lose the plot. I did wonder if they would have it be Joel. ie. everyone thought it was Ronnie and it turned out to be Joel. He doesn't seem to be, to me, a long term character and he does seem scared of Archie. We also know Archie is going to want to get rid of Joel. It would be interesting if Ronnie got arrested and screamed blue murder it wasn't her and the only one listening is Jack, who tries to help her out. Somehow, it comes out it was Joel in self defense. He strikes me as the type too scared to come forward and so keep back in fear. I don't know if I see Jack a killer. He would definately help cover it up for Ronnie with his contacts. I definately would see Ronnie running to Jack over anyone else if this happened.

Not looking too hopeful for a RACK reconciliation any time soon. Sam W (still want to put J!) interview in Inside Soap she says that Jack and Ronnie are too similar and too competitive to have anything together long term.

She also hints very strongly that Ronnie and Joel are unlikely to to have a happy ending (although I think we all knew that!)

She said the same as Scott. Forever destined to be on-off, which suggests there will be another hook up and breakup. I still wonder if that is because of their close friendship offscreen.

What made me laugh was Sam saying Ronnie was never destined for happiness. Effectively that is why she won't last with Joel (although I strongly disagree she is in love with him - she is in love with the idea of him and their time together when kids. That isn't real love to me. I find myself agreeing with Roxy for once.) Also why she on't have a baby and also why her and Jack are forever destined to be on-off before one of them leaves. And even then, I think one of them will be killed off.

I think it may be the friendship like you say they are very very close and they said they find it wierd and their partners find it wierd because they are all best friends, and if their kids have caught a glimpse i can guess they would be asking a few questions - so that may be why they are billing it as a on/off relationship they are to similair etc etc it means they can get back together but they wont have to play the couple onscreen for long because something will break them up.

I actually think it may be roxy that gets through to ronnie over this joel issue, archie and jack are trying to pay him off because that is how they work but roxy seems like she is talking to ronnie and telling her like it is not so much concentrating on joel but helping her sister, it would be easy for roxy to just tell joel to leave ronnie alone, tell her what she is going through but she isn't she is trying to be their for her sister which makes a change, i wonder how long it will last for though

Being there and telling someone how it is is very different. So far roxy is calling it as she sees it. she hasn't sat down and properly talked to Ronnie about it so wouldn't go as far as to say she is "being there" for her sister. Archie said pretty much the same thing to her.

I don't think that's the reason. They've said themselves that it was strange at first but they're used to it now and they have looked more relaxed in romantic scenes. I think it's just the writers taking the easy option. It happens in so many long-running TV shows, writers get devoid of ideas when they put a super-couple together and so they keep splitting them up, as it gives them an easier time building storylines. A bit of originality and a bit more faith in rack as a potentially interesting couple together and they could make them work well for a while. unfortunately it seems they're incapable of thinking outside of the standard box.

The inconsistencies in the characters to fit the storyline are very annoying. I can get Ronnie thinking she's in love with Joel. Obviously she's not, she just sees it as a way of getting closer to Danielle due to him being her father. Her attitude towards Jack is ridiculous though. She still loved him when she left and she was the one in the wrong!! Why is she now angry at him, with Jack begging for a second chance? I agree nickymonger, it makes no sense. "We need tto remember what we liked about each other" was a line the other week...erm, when did they stop liking each other? They'd just got engaged before it all hit the fan. Just doeasn't make sense.

I missed the above scene. Who said that? But yes, I think Ronnie is the person I most don't understand at the moment. When she ran off, I got why she ran off. Jack had seemingly walked out on her or she thought she had ruined it and to me, was worried that she was going to hurt everyone she loved like Archie. Then she thought Jack had met someone else and vice versa. The moment she found out Jack hadn't met someone else and still wanted her, wanted a baby; wouldn't she want to get back with him, to have the baby she so desperately desires? Or has she forgotten the baby obsession and now replaced it with a Joel one? In addition, she made out to Roxy that Jack was the big love of her life, bigger than Joel. Whilst I have always got Joel was important; I don't suddenly understand him being bigger than Jack and overnight her over Jack when in 2 years she couldn't get over him and when she left, it was her mucking up and she begged him to not leave/her go with him, she loved him. Her attitude to Jack just seems totally bizarre.

And JAck was almost begging her to get back together after christmas. I don't get why he wouldn't have tried harder; flowers, extravagant gifts like usual.
