I don't find it starnge atall Roxy is the mother of his child and he isn't going to see either of them on the streets at any time let alone at xmas by protecting Roxy he is protecting his child -also it would hardly endear him to Ronnie if he was all lovey dovey to her and treated her sister like S**** would it? he is looking out for people and protecting them which is what he enjoys doing and I suspevt is one of the things he missess about being a copper.

I also havn't ruled out Ronnie yet either I still have this feeling that she did and Jack knows she did and is covering for but I don't believe they planned it together .

I don't know about anybody else, but I definately have seen ZERO evidence that Jack going after Archie was to protect anybody but Ronnie. Roxy didn't figure into this at all. I didn't hear any threat to Archie about Roxy. He didn't go running after him a second time because Roxy was upset, but Ronnie was. He was also all about Ronnie when he arrived at the Vic. Roxy had to remind him archie was her dad. None of Jack's actions have been about protecting his family or Roxy/Amy. It has 100% been about Ronnie.

What is weird, for me, is Jack/Roxy's sudden closeness given she is supposed to have a new boyfriend in that she would run to him for comfort, go to him when homeless than with the rest of the family/to her boyfriend. Also that she'd want Jack to care about her as well because her dad died. If you were a new viewer, you would think they were this trio of best friends. It's just a little odd given the history, even with her being the mother of his child. Especially when, if he did kill him, he hasn't thought about Roxy/Amy in this, in the fact they still loved theor grandad and if it got out, he'd almost certainly lose access to amy even if Ronnie forgave him. Plus, don't see how, given the history between them and Ronnie's jealousy over amy and Jack being the father, that the four of them can live in that flat together. And then it would seem odd for Ronnie to go somewhere else when she is closer to Jack and not really got any other mates. And then it would seem odd at Roxy/Amy livingin Jack's flat like some happy family when he is in love with Ronnie. I just find it odd. Especially when Roxy/Jack not long ago were not getting on, now they are suddenly best buds and all three of them some close knit family.

They have already destroyed Archie's character, they better not destroy Ronnie's too. The whole point of her character is a tragic heroine and as such, she has never been someone I have ever seen capable of murder, even when pushed. She is upfront generally and I can't see her putting on a facade enough to hunt for a false killer. The guilt would destroy her. She couldn't get over giving up a baby for adoption. How on earth would they show her capable of handling the guilt of murdering her own father? She couldn't. They'd have to kill her off.

I can only see them getting together in January and be torn apart when Ronnie finds out about Jack killing Archie, if EE are to continue with the usual will they won't they,( that has become beyond boring now and as much as I love Rack I would probably loose all interest in this relationship if this theme continues). But I don't think they will get back together anytime soon. If anything they both have to overcome the fact that both might think that the other has done it. The writing for them last week indicated that EE were trying to build them up slowly this time. I think they will remain very much close friends in a "relationship" without many words but rather understanding, with Jack being there for Ronnie.

It is this thinking that makes me feel slightly positive that Jack is not the killer because EE would not have finished with Rack already. They have spent the last 2 years trying to build them up

I'm 99.9% certain Jack doesn't have a girlfriend and this will be jealous Ronnie after seeing him talk to, my guess, Sam Mitchell or the police woman and getting the wrong idea. Cue argument and then some kind of discussion as to whether they are getting back together. The above also ties in with the time of the graveyard scenes. so its possible this may all tie in together and explain Rack arguing at the grave. Then probably leads to a confession as to "that night", without it necessarily meaning any of them killed Archie, but about their doubts and maybe seeing each other entering/exiting the Vic. Cue reunion. OR It leads to a confession.

The Vic is a crime scene and I can't see where else Ronnie would go, unless she goes to Max's. That could be interesting in itself.

I'm not sure Ronnie would hate Jack for killing Archie. She may initally, but when she has calmed down...

She may reason that Jack did it for her, on her request and after seeing her distressed as well as protecting her. Depends also if it was cold blood or "accident". At the end of the day, she considered it, so I don't think she would outright disown him. In some weird way, she may see it as Jack truly loving her. It really depends how she reacts in the coming months and what her mum says about her dad; she may hate him more. Roxy, however, would hate him and would never forgive him. It's her I see never getting past it, not Ronnie. She was willing to lie, no question, last year about Jack/Max. And I think she would never let him go down for it.

I didn't think of this but I read it in another forum and it makes sense.
I am not sure that Bradley killed Archie but in a scenario that he did Jack was acting suspiciously because:

If Bradley killed Archie and Jack saw him that might explain his behaviour. He sees Bradley did it and tries to cover any evidence that links Bradley to the murder. Bradley is his nephew.
Also beeing an ex-cop Jack knows that Ronnie has a motive and police will go after her therefore he asks her and Roxy not to move and not say anything to the police so that Ronnie doesn't incriminate herself.
So that puts Jack in a very difficult position of having to cover for Bradley at the cost of keeping it from Ronnie.
This could be an obstacle for a Ronnie and Jack relationship because he knows he needs to earn her trust. But it is one that they can overcome. This can also explain some of the photos at the graveyard.
Would Bradley return to kill Archie after he just punched him? He would because Archie shouted on Bradley's way out that Stacey likes older guys and that brings back very painful memories of Max and Stacey.

From the little review I have seen of this episode sound like there may be one or two cute Rack scenes in it .

Here's hoping that 2010 will be a good year for Rack and maybe xmas 2010 we may be seeing their wedding as the main storyline.

As long as it doesn't turn out that Jack is the one that kills Archie, I think we will see a Rack reunion at some point. There certainly is build up for it.

I can see them getting married but I can't see it being the main storyline in the Christmas episode as Bryan Kirkwood will want to do something big and dramatic as it will be his first christmas episodes in charge of ee, also the brannings and mitchells have had a big part in the christmas episodes for the last 3 years surely it would be unfair to make them the main focus again, i was thinking maybe it could be Lucas being revealed as a killer for the christmas episodes as we don't yet know when the actor is leaving and we know from Santer that he will kill again and the actor has said he will get darker and darker over the next few months. I could see Ronnie and Jack maybe getting married maybe in the summer.

Any Rack news in the soap mags this week?

I had a look in the mags section when I went out yesterday and could not see any new issues out so I don't know if that means they han't been published yet or my local just didn't have any on the shelves.

It does sound good I don't mind when they get married so long as it sticks and this time I think it will somthing seems to be different between them this time -summer is great for a wedding I could see Ronnie wearing a gorgeous sleevless dress .
