Hello can anyone tell me why my PS3 wont work with HDMI leads on this tv it wont let component work either?I bought the tv for the PS3 and looked at all the reviews and nowwhere on the sellers website or panasonics site did it say it wont work for gaming consoles .Why wont it? my console has a HDMI out and the tv has 2 inlets but wont work is there a way to get it to work thanks.

There is a warning in my booklet about 1.3 spec HDMI cables and no/bad picture.

thanks for your reply stvn758 but what does that mean?In my booklet where it says how to connect devices it says using the HDMI slots you can only plug in a saterlite or dvd player.Game consoles have to be connected using the av slots Or have i just got the wrong cable as you suggest?

ps3 should be able to be played through hdmi

hdmi socket 2 is for audio only

i would buy another cable and try it, are your settings correct in your ps3? disconnect the scart or tell the box to connect via hdmi

as the cable digital it either works or not..................... buy a cheap one just to test

Thanks for your replys guys but have tried it with another lead what was on the tv to satalite box downstairs and it still doesnt work. Have also gone into the options on the ps3 and set up for hdmi but still not working.The manual for the tv says games consoles have to be connected through av 1 2 or 3 but I cant see why?In the manual it says hdmi slot will only work for satalite dvd or camcorders as i purchesed the tv for my son to play his ps3 on it is very frustrating to say the least.When i was dragged shopping today i went into a store and looked at the tv sets on a Sony one when reading all the speck it said ps3 connectability? Surly it will work on other brands as well??

I have the same TV and my PS3 works fine through HDMI.
I brought the Playstation HDMI cable. When I plugged the cable into the PS3 and TV, the PS3 set itself up for HDMI and the resolution the TV will accept 1080P.

I know this doesn't help much but the PS3 and TX-26LXD70 do work through HDMI.
