Its not four weeks long

Me too! If I didn't watch this series of SCD, I would have thought Matt was as bad as Chris Parker in the 1st series the way people are complaining!

At least Chris Parker never froze up, for all his faults.

We've got to do something. The judges have got it wrong and have cheated the viewers out of a proper final.

Bombard the Beeb duty office with emails, phone calls and don't stop there, let's show the producers what we think.

Reinstate Gethin in the final, i.e a 3 person final.

Gethin didn't deserve such shocking treatment
Forumites I need your help. Who is with me”

Sorry, didn't look at this post before because of spoilers, but please don't bitch just because your fave is out. Matt is in the final on merit. Gethin was great, and one could argue, if it were still a 3 couple final, he should have been there, but it isn't and he's not.

Alesha and Matt will provide a great final.

So how do you explain the last two weeks

No the show isn't four weeks long and IMHO Matt started off a little nervously (who wouldn't being the one to start off the series) improved week on week and reached a peak when dancing his salsa.

Gethin on the other hand stayed on a consistent level, yes his latin was poor compared to Matt but I think Gethin is by far the better ballroom dancer out of the two of them and has shown more 'bottle' and improvement in the last few weeks than Matt who has NOT improved since his salsa.

I hope Alesha wins next week but I fear that the public and/or the judges will feel sorry for Matt...I don't want another Darren Gough (By far the most undeserved winner of the SCD crown)

Under the new system it is possible for the public favourite to be voted out. Surely this is wrong. Last night the judges scored Alesha 3, Matt 2 and Gethin 1 and we were told tonight that Matt and Gethin were bottom 2 after the public vote. It is highly possible that Gethin topped the vote, Alesha was 2nd and Matt was third. This would give Alesha 5, Gethin 4 and Matt 3 allowing Gethin to be voted off.

Surely this is wrong as Tess often says 'vote to keep your favourite out of the dance-off'. Gethin could have gotten 100 million votes but would still be bottom 2 because Alesha polled higher than Matt. That means anyone voting for Gethin is wasting their vote and should be refunded, as there is NO way he can be safe.

It surprises me that the BBC allow this and ofcom have done nothing to stop it. The format is also the same in Dancing On Ice with the weekly possibility of the highest vote getter going home.

I would be very grateful if you did something about it,

Thankyou,

Name :P

Just sent the above to ofcom

[quote=footygirl;20158228]But is the problem Gethin was and is the better dancer

that is down to personal opinion, in my opinion, i thought he had faults..his foot work and hold was brilliant- i think gethin was being credited for being good because he was so bad before...even last week, his hands were awful.craig was right..

although matt has had one bad week, gethin has had more bad dances than matt has

I have always been an Alesha fan but as the series progressed Gethin and Camilla have really grown on me, to the point that I would be torn who to vote for had they both got through to the final.

I am devastated and annoyed he has been voted off for sympathy for Matt's failures, however I can only ease the pain by thinking the judges have fixed the results to ensure Alsha wins next week. If you look at the DS polls, it would have been a very tight final with noone being able to predict the results. I think the judges have put Matt through to ensure a win for Alesha! And if she doesn't win then SCD has lost another viewer next year....

Diddygirl is right, the past is past and beyond recall. In my view the dancer assigned the waltz got a higher score than the dancer assigned the paso, as invariably happens in SCD.

Gethin and Camilla have accepted their exit with grace and warmth and drew new admirers by the manner of his passing. Might I suggest fans in their sadness follow this lead and move on.

Voters who believe that an unfair act was committed the previous week with the encouragement of a judge, will know what to do in 6 days time to redress the scales of balance. Regards to all G&C fans.

Interesting to think whether all this furore would have happened if Craig had given a 9. If Matt hadn't got the first 40 of the series, would there be so much argument?

Seriously, I really wanted a Aleesha v Gethin final, but it's not Matt's fault he's there in the latters place, nor is it the public or the judges. Everyone knew the system at week one. For Craig to give a 10 he must have loved the waltz, and he doesn't hand the mark out like sweets.

Although disappointed, I don't think the fighting's gonna change a thing, or do anyone's reputations on here any good. Gethin was a great competitor on SCD and left with head held high...us supporters of him should do the same.

(Not leave, just accept the decision )
