The Single Won't Make Xmas Number 1
I'd laugh my socks off if Leona kept all off them off the top spot!
And before you all start... I am not a Leon hater, far from it, but it angers me that the producers 'assume' it will be xmas number one and that they have a god given right to it every year. |

It's about time the dreary first singles of X Factor winners stopped being #1 at Christmas.

It likely will sadly unless there's something being released that will surprise us all with big sales.
Leona only sold 29k last week so she has no chance... and I doubt the Katie Melua/Eva Cassidy duet will be a massive seller. |

She's already been knocked off by Katie Melua!
Still would of been hilarous though! |

Leona won't still be No.1 since she has sold shedloads of her single already and it is the best selling single of the year so far , and if the reaction is anything to go by , she could still retain that title from Leon

It might do... the copy Fearne just mistakenly opened on Xtra Factor clearly had Leona Lewis inside.
Maybe people will buy it after all?

I think it was a terrible choice for an X Factor winning song.
I felt that the song did not suit either voice but Leon had the edge over Rhydian. I cant see this making number 1 but stranger things have happened. |

It probably will be number one but I'll buy the nearest competitor anyway.

I agree so go out and buy fairytale of new york and finally make it number 1 for christmas! It would not only be good to have a xmas song no1 for christmas but to beat the cowell machine music would be great!

Single sales are so low these past couple of weeks that it will be number 1. Don't expect it to sell more than a couple of hundred thousand.

Likely it will be.
But if its not that will certainly make it clear that the opinions from the majority on here tonight are right--that Leon did not deserve to win , is a poor singer and has no future |

![]() And what reaction are you referring to. All the bitter people slagging off Leon on this forum - clearly the British public who voted in their millions tonight seem to like Leon so this forum is hardly representative! |
