Anyone know why Orange's service has sunk to almost unusable in South East london?

no signal, only been able to make a 10 second call before it cuts off, constant no signal. It is not just mine, almost everyone I know on Orange is having the same crap!

Sounds like they need to improve coverage or maybe one of their local base stations is faulty? Phone up customer services and complain. You can find a coverage map here: Orange coverage search.

Of course if there is poor coverage its mostly down to people moaning about cell sites being put up in the first place, and I bet thoese very people who complian have mobiles and probably smoke as well!
