I haven't seen one dance that took my breath away and made me say wow.

One of my favourites was Letitia's paso doble .

I'm of the opinion that there haven't been any real WOW dances this year..theres been a couple of gethins I really liked.. a couple of Aleshas that were great but not WOW..I really liked Tish's paso too but none like- Mark's AT,Salsa or jill's Jive,Paso,Cha etc. I'm not sure if its because I've found the personalities of the celebs (with the exception of Tish) a bit uninspiring on the whole or that the judges absurd overmarking has just made me grumpy and taken the gilt off.

I agree with you, i think this series just hasn't had any wow dances compared with previous years. I'm not sure what's happened this year- but something's off!

My wow dances have been Matt's salsa and waltz; Alesha's waltz and jive (not technically perfect but was still great!) and Gethin's waltz.

Totally agree with this post. I've liked a lot of dances but, none that have made me go "Wow". In fact I would go as far as to say that we'll still be holding up Zoe's Tango, Colin's Rumba Denise's Foxtrot (I could go on) as the dances that wowed us long after we've forgotten who won this series. Not a slight on the personalities, just their dancing.

I think its because as long as you get through the routine and turn up on the night you get a 10 from Len straight away.

Alesha's Jive, Foxtrot, Salsa, Waltz, American Smooth and Quickstep. In fact all of Alesha's dances. Sorry, that's just how I feel, they all WOWED me .

No flawless dances.
Some dramatic performances.
But either the footwork or the top-line has not been technically wow.

Also I think the choreography by the pros has been less than amazing.

The pros with real personality are: (IMO)

No coincidence that 4 of those have steered their partners to finals.

Matt C is a wet lettuce. His AT was a bit feeble. Poor girl doing her bit. He could have taken more responsibility.
Flavia is great personally but has not got what it takes to teach Matt. He should have had a slave-driver.
Camilla and that paso. Ugh. What a dire beginning. Len said on Friday it was like a coal-heaver. For once, he was right.

There has been a distinct lack of wow dances for me this series.... (subjective opinion of course). I hope that despite having to do 5 routines that perhaps I'll get to see one that hits that certain spot next week. ( bloody hell I'm turning into Arlene. Help!!)

(By the way I agree ESPIONdansant about Matthew C just sort of leaving it all up to Alesha in the AT... ..unlike say Karen last year who really managed to support and show off her celeb in that dance.)

They all make mistakes. The paso is not Camillas strengths. But she does her best and always makes an enjoyable routine.

Except that I would add James Jordan to the list of best pros - I LOVE his choreography - even with Georgina - nice and traditional.
Unfortunately not a big fan of Matt C's Latin choreography at all, and they have generally had bad music choices for the Latin as well - Ballroom much better.

for someone who enjoys the latin dances more because they look so much fun and have more interesting steps, i thought aleesha and mathew's waltz as well as their VW was absolutely amazing as i fouind myself enjoying them so much. i also loved kelly's VW
