Ok, let's face it, this year's X Factor wasn't as good as last year's.

The odds-on favourite, Rhydian, is not in the same league as Leona Lewis, last year's favourite.

This show may be a bit biased towards the 'sob-story' contestants.

...I was surprised when Leon won, but, let's face it, the majority of the public voted him to win and therefore the public liked him the best.

Whether this was a true reflection or not is irrelevant.

We all know that, like last year's Ray, Ben and The Macdonald Brothers, they will all make a career out of this, regardless if they win or not.

Regardless what anyone says everyone is a winner: every person who auditioned saw four famous faces, a lot of people got their face on TV and the twelve finalists all had something that got them there: a decent voice.

This show may have some flaws but on the whole it does what it says on the tin: it gives ordinary people a shot at a music career.

I disagree.

I find Leona Lewis overblown and boring.
She's like many other young singers - bland.

I agree with the OP.

Why is everyone so bitter.

And Leon and Leona can both thing, and are far more talented than some of you idiots on here.

And I wasn't really a fan of Leona during XFactor 3 until the final.

But she has come on leaps and bounds since releasing her Debut Album and Bleeding Love.

To the extent that I even brought the album, which normally id never do in a million years thinking it was Leona's.

However her album is out of the world and she will be as big as Mariah Carey.

If you don't believe me listen to -

Bleeding Love

Footprints in the Sand

Take a Bow

The Best you Never Had

Whatever it Takes

Better In Time

The First Time I saw your face

I've listened to it once..........

That was quite enough thanks.
Even my daughter doesn't like it....and that's saying something judging by what she regularly listens to.....

I couldn't disagree more. The one thing this series had going for it was the outstanding talent of Rhydian. It's a shame that after launching an artist of Leona's calibre last year, thanks to a misguided section of the public ("I voted for him because I didn't think anyone else would", "I felt sorry for him, he was so bad", "I voted for him because I didn't think he'd win", "I voted for him because he deserved it more, he wasn't the best but he deserved it more") the show has been denied the opportunity of doing the same again this year.

And Leon and Leona can both thing
Can both thing? Are you Chris Eubank?

I prefer Leon to Rhydian and Leona though I haven't heard her new album. Just wasn't that keen on her delivery.

This year was brilliant because it gave us Rhydian. We all know he should have won, but let's forget about the strange result and just be glad that we can enjoy Rhydian's talent for many, many years to come.

I disagree with the OP. I think this years X Factor has been better than last years even though as usual my favourite didn't win. I sort of agree with Give It Up and feel that Leons win is a sort of backlash for Leona winning last year.

Last years contest altogether was very biased. It wasn't as bad as Fame Academy 2 but still it ranks high. I'm one of those people that would have preferred Ray to win over Leona even though he wasn't my favourite purely because of the gushing ( and I truly believe great performances were poo pooed by Simon just to make Leona look better). Don't get me wrong I think Leona is fantastic, I just don't like a one horse race like that.

This year has been more open. The early audition favourites went early if I remember correctly and although I'd swap Beverley with Niki I think the top 4 was the best of the bunch.

The underdog won this year - we all accuse the GB public of backing them and in the X Factor they've generally gone for the best - except this year. I'd have hoped for a Same Difference dark horse win but it didn't happen. All I know is that all through that final I didn't have a clue who would win and for me that made it a great final.
