if you are not allowed to talk about this lock this thread but anyway i was watching a dvd(copied) but the film skips in some places but i found that if i watch the film on my ps2 or pc i does not i have not had problems with a normal dvd so i was thinking it must be something the dvd player has to stop people watching these

i doubt the DVD player will be doing anything to specifically prevent you watching the DVD but there may be minor imperfections on the copied disc that are causing the skipping on the DVD player, maybe the different lasers in the PC or PS2 are not so sensitive to faults in the disc or maybe the DVD player just doesnt like that particular brand of DVD recordable, maybe try it with a copy on a different brand of recordable DVD if you have one
