Definitely part of the reason.

Last week I was beginning to wonder whether Gethin was beginning to get distracted from the task in hand.

The pics in the park were very nice (and even got shown on Breakfast's paper review). But he didn't look as though he was thinking much about dancing.

Apparently, at the same time that those pics were being taken, poor Camilla was pacing up and down a dance studio crying "Where is Gethin, we need to be practising". (Didn't show that on ITT, did they).

Superman had a stern warning that if he messed with women he'd loose his powers.

And where was Jenkins on Saturday night - only doing the business with that weird-looking alien fellow from the other side.

Gethin has only got himself to blame for getting kicked out of the show.

Incidentally, are there significant similarities between Leon and Matt - nervous, "boy-next-door" appeal, underdogs - big appeal to the young teenage girl vote, etc.

She is the kiss of death, old Katherine. Darcy Bussell should be afraid...

Rubbish !

Viva la Diva is a sell out and new dates have been added in May , Darcey is onto a very good thing .

I too have met her and she is absolutely lovely , very natural , very able and intelligent .
I seincerely hope they do as La Rhumba says usurp the other two who have been paraded as the Pride of Wales , pah , pah and thrice pah . Gav is now up on a disordely behaviour charge , and that about sums them up , I have met Ms Church too, and was very very unimpressed and indeed depressed .

Katherine is a graduate of the Royal College of Music and was a peripatetic music teacher whilst trying to get her career off the ground .
She toured with Aled Jones on his first adult tour and went to Austaralia for the World cup with Max Boyce which was her first TV appearance , from Sydmey Opera House.

Her recording contract was one of the biggest ever awarded.

Der Chef , I often agree with your posts , but you are wrong about Katherine Jenkins , I assure you . She isn't a bimbo, not at all and she is quite definitely not thick as 3 short planks !
As for makeup , if you see her away from the tv and not performing she is never heavily made up , and her hair is never perfectly coiffed.
You should watch the fab programme Stuart Cable did when he followed her for a week .

Gethin was on Radio Wales this am , and was very upbeat .

Incidentally Katherine split with Stuart Hart in the autumn of 2006 , they were always very careful to keep out of the public eye .

I do feel she was a distraction in the latter stages. You never saw Camilla with her partner in the park or to busy practising with Ian.

I was at the Royal College of Music as a postgrad. I know nothing about Katherine Jenkins's intelligence or otherwise, but I have to tell you that I know some spectacularly dim people who managed to graduate from there.

I think Katherine Jenkins romance killed the teenage girls vote for Gathin!! Without that vote he was gone!! Thought it was a mistake to publicise the romance so much just before the semi-final. Wish them luck. Seems a nice guy but I did not like the Jenkins Rhydian duet as she completely overwhelmed him voice wise and you could not hear him sing at all. I don't like her much I am afraid, something plastic about her and she looks like she has false teeth!! I am sure she is charming when you actually meet up with her. She just seems very plastic to me.

Camilla looked absolutely devastated to be voted out I felt so sorry for her. Obviously Gathin had other things on his mind and did not seem that bothered. Of course they all have to plead with the audience (very undignified) on cue when interviewed as though winning a silver glitter ball is the most important thing in their lives. I think he has got a lot from his appearance on SCD, a new audience and perhaps more job offers!!! That is what the celebs want, only the professional dancers take is seriously.

How do you know that? The reason you never see pictures of Camilla and her partner is because she isn't famous enough for the paparazzi or the newspapers to take pictures of them. For all we know Camilla could be spending more her partner than Gethin was with Katherine. That is if Gethin and Katherine are actually even dating.

I think you are being grossly unfair to some of the celebrity dancers from this year and otehrs . I know they get paid for doing it and that some use it to further their flagging or stagnant careers , some , however. don't and do take it very seriously .

I think you will find Gethin did as much training as was possible given his work , Alesha for example, has none at the moment and can afford to do long hours .

Gethin danced well on Saturday , I personally felt his AT was of a better standard than Matt's and at least as good as Alesha's . I found the paso not particularly a good routine and that is not Gethin's fault .

May I also point out , Ms Jenkins has not been in London much as she is on tour and has been in other parts of the UK , so I think you may find the photos were all from that one Sunday , Most of the couples take Sunday , or part of it , off .

It was only Mark and Karen last year who admitted to training 7 days a week , he in fact said they trained for 35 days withot a day off in the last weeks , whilst still trying to fit in other commitments .

I agree with arddunol that Gethin definitely took the competition seriously and was clearly gutted to be voted off.

But I also thought that (in v tongue in cheek way) about a 'jinx' on Saturday night!

Katherine's duet with Rhydian really didn't work which is a shame, as individually I think both have amazing voices. They just didn't work together. I think the duet was arranged more because it was Rhydian's absolute dream to sing with her, than because it would work from a performance point of view. Long term, I'm sure he'll have a far more substantial career than Leon.

As far as Gethin goes I seriously doubt the news of their romance damaged his public vote. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he topped the public vote on Saturday regardless (i.e. Gethin got 3 in public vote plus 1 from judges, Alesha got 2 in public vote plus 3 from judges and therefore through). Just my opinion obviously as there's no way the BBC will ever publish the figures!

If the KJ romance is true then I would imagine both Gethin and Katherine are pretty happy with life at the moment, so good luck to them both.
