camilla did look very upset. she seemed resigned once matt & alesha got through, i think it would have been hard for anyone, given that the judges are supposedly making their decision on each couples best dance of the night, to have though they were going through against a dance that just scored the top 40!

i was so impressed though by her ability to dance through the obvious pain that she was in after the fling to the floor, what a trooper.

I'm glad she can now recover but she looked so gutted but she has Fabio to hug and he can look after her!

At least Arlene acknowledged that the second run through of the AT was better than the second run through of Matt's Waltz. Who knows what the scores would have been if they'd been the first results?

me too - 5 dances in one night is alot for a professional to take on let alone a celeb! Matt and MArk looked physically and emtioanlly exhausted at the end of last years final

Well done Camilla you did a fantastic job and should be hugely proud of what you have mananged to do with Gethin

Camilla did a fantastic job with Gethin. I've been rewatching his cha cha, and you can see how much he's come on ability and technique wise, in the competition.

I believe Gethin IMO is without a doubt the best ballroom dancer the show has ever seen.

Her choreography was entertaining and exciting and captured the flavour of her music choices.

Their chemistry was brilliant, and just got better and better as the series progressed.

Will miss watching them next week hugely

I agree Mrs F. It makes you wonder if Camilla would have been up for 5 dances with a dodgy shoulder next week anyway.

Shes always very good at turning amateurs into dancers - Ray Fearion and James Martin too. Even Roger Black improved. It seems to be the type she gets every year.

I'm so sad Camilla did not make it to the final, she really deserves it after five years hard work on all the series. she's my favourite female pro and I think has sometimes been overlooked. She was fantastic with James Martin, but has had some bad luck too. I like Ian too, and I think she and Ian (in previous series where Ian's concerned) have come up with some of the most dramatic choreography we've seen. It's that that makes the 'wow' dances. I'm glad Craig complimented her the other week.

As a consolation, She and Ian had a mini-Xmas special appearing at the Albert Hall on Songs of Praise tonight. I thought they were wonderful as ever.

Camilla, oh Camilla. She's had such a rough deal. She's always so close but yet so far. I hope she gets a good 'un next year, but knowing the Beeb, they'll think "Oh, she had Gethin who was awesome sauce last year, so let's put her with some ugly old guy with googly eyes."

SHe looked great on songs of praise - recorded - I doubt she could have done that lift with a bad shoulder. They were fab

So gutted for Camilla but she did soooo well and really deserved to be in that final. Ah well...I guess there's always next year...

That was sad to see the last couple leave.
It should have been a three couple final but unfortunately the BBC couldn't organise a p*** up in a brewery so it's a 5 dance final again.

I really wanted Camilla to get to the final, she had a real chance with Gethin. If she is back next year lets hope she gets another good partner. Gethin wasn't brilliant at first but he was determined to succeed which he did and I never heard him grumble once and yet he had to work on Blue Peter and do training.

Hope they give Camilla someone half decent again next year !.............and while I'm at it I have to say that I also hope they also give Brendan someone half decent again next year!

Third time lucky Camilla??!!

I warmed to her for the first time this series and wanted her to make it to the final.

Perhaps she and Gethin should've 'accidentally' forgotten 2 routines to ensure they got the public vote.

I am very suspicious that you can forget 2 dances then do the best ever non final dance in the competition. Ever.

It really is her turn for an old duffer, unfortunately ..... she's had 4 really talented and malleable partners for the last 4 series

Not too sure about that Zoe ball was amazing and as far as males are concerned Colin Jackson was fantastic ballroom dancer

I never warmed to her - something about her dancing doesn't click with me - but I still think she had worked with Gethin wonderfully to bring a non-dancer to such a high standard. She looked really gutted at the end and I did feel sorry for her. Well done Camilla

I felt awful for Camilla. She hasn't had the best of luck with the competition and I was certain she'd win it this year. This is the closest she's ever got which I find extraordinary for someone with her talent.

I do think that next year she'll be with the talentless oaf though since it's really her turn (and at this point spare a thought for Nicole Cutler who has been in only one series less than Camilla and never had a decent partner - and I include John Barnes in that). Also, Anton and Erin have never won either (although Erin got within a hair's breadth) and they've been in since series one.

I felt very sorry for Camilla and Gethen when the results were shown. I think she knew it was coming.

Sadly it was the right voting.

Feeling very sorry for Camilla, I think she was devastated at being knocked out and probably thought she had more chance to make the final this year with Gethin than any other. Certainly the bookies thought so.

They must both be crushed. I notice The Sun has already put up a nice little report about her 'storming off' after filming was over - good grief, is it surprising she didn't want to be in the thick of things after so narrowly missing out on the final? Give the girl a break, please, journos.

I just wish so much they'd made it. She worked wonders with Gethin and I'll be looking forward to seeing the two of them on ITT tomorrow.

Just read the Sun article... it also says Camilla and Gethin "looked shocked" to be voted out (which they clearly didn't), so I very much doubt it was true, especially as what they've probably done is focussed on that bit where Cam was "storming" through backstage looking for some pain relief and thought they'd make a story out of it...
