Billing and the Law

Hi,

I signed up for online billing several months ago with BT, after the first online bill I had no more, then trying to get through to customer services was a nightmare I decided to cancel my direct debits due to the amounts showing on the payments screen, yet no bills for me to verify the amounts. Since then my line has been disconnected and have emailed customer services with 'pay the bill and we will re-connect you!', although I find this fair, I would like to know what I have been spending as I know the bills are incorrect.

I am on the new billing system so believe this is the problem, however, I should be entitled to a bill. Is there any law of some sort that states I should receive a bill before payment? Any help would be appreciated in this matter as it has been going on for some time!!

Thanks in advance.

How do you know they are wrong if you have not seen one?

Would be nice to be able to get your online bills to see what you are paying for, I have this service and have never had any problems.

EDIT: You say several months ago, Are you on quarterly billing? has it been more than 3 months since your last bill?
