I think it is clear in everyones mind that Pioneer make the best TVs.

But should I go for the 4280 or the 428?
And where should I get it from?

Actually not clear, the worst two HD installs I've done have been on two Pioneer sets - the only Pioneers I've ever seen, and they were the poorest pictures I've seen on HD.

To be fair, this is obviously only a VERY tiny sample, and they were perhaps very old models? - but all other makes I've done have looked great on HD.

All i can say is

4280 makes do with out picture in picture, USB home gallery function and a sensor which will automatically adjust the picture to suit the viewing conditions, not that I'd recommend using this. It also lacks the ISF C3 memories and has an inferior remote, not as plush. It does come with the pedestal stand which is a £100 extra on the 428. You'll have to decide for yourself how important the extras are, the screens themsevles are identical.

As for where to buy, I'd recommend a friendly local dealer. You can find your nearest one on Pioneers website.

And personally I think the picture on these screens is fantastic, but then I'm biased

I have mild DIRTY SCREEN 59 20.00%
I have moderate to severe DIRTY SCREEN 29 9.83%
I have both BUZZING and DIRTY SREEN 43 14.58%

317 screens and 56% of these had a problem . And it only cost you a £1,000 more Than Samsung & LG.

I think Fujitsu make the best Ive read.
