Perhaps I heard wrong but tonight (in the result show) did Arlene say "Alesha has a gift for making people think she is the best dancer"?

But I think dear old Arlene *meant* it as a compliment. She loves Alesha - remember the "you bring warmth to everything you do" comment? If anyone said that about me I'd burst out crying (in a good way)

it was bitchy because she followed it up with "but she better watch her footwork and lets not forget gethin has been good too (not verbatim but gives you the jist!).

I watch online and my feed buffered immediately after she said that, so I didn't catch what else she said (if anything). It seemed a strange thing to say, but did she say anything else apart frOM THAT?

I did noticed a very funny expression from Arlene and move her right hand very quickly when the camera turn to the judge at one point. Looks like she forgot to turn off her mobile or something.

I don't think the hag meant it the way it sounded.

IMO Arlene rates both Kelly and Gethin above Alesha....but I don't see why that's bitchy.

Arlene has often shown a frankly embarrassing partiality for male dancers and suffers from chronic foot in mouth disease. I don't think she ever expresses herself well even when she does have something reasonable to say!

It was an odd thing to say and I think she did mean it. But all of the judges have commented on Alesha making mistakes in her footwork but covering it up beautifully - perhaps that's what she meant.

That was such a backhanded insult. I'd have more respect for her opinion if she had phrased it in a better way than that.

I think she needs to up her HRT.

She looked very po faced with arms folded when she had to choose between Matt and Gethin. Don't think she likes Alesha anymore, because she wants her to be perfect or she's not worth bothering about over some pretty boy otherwise. If Alesha had been in the dance off I don't think Arlene would have saved her. She's made rather an about turn.

Must admit that I was taken aback when she said it, but on reflection Arlene does have a foot in mouth problem

I agre with peely, I think Arlene has just lost interest in Alesha. She's (a) the wrong sex (b) very beautiful and (c) quite popular. Brings out the worst in certain types of females, as we've seen on this forum

I dont understand why she even had to mention it tbh. Aleshas footwork was good last night, why just pick on something bad about Alesha and not the boys

It's obvious Arlene really rates Alesha ..... so I don't think it was intended to denigrate her..... just meant that Alesha is a great performer but she still has to work a bit on the technical footwork .....the same comments she's made on ITT.
