To all those arguing about last nights result....

There are reasoned arguments for all the points of view.

But the root of the problem is one of the finalists was decided by 4 people and those 4 people have been wildly inconsistent in their views/scores throughout the series.

I have always been against the Dance-Off and it hasn't even had the effect of ensuring "better" Dancers aren't voted off in the early rounds, which was the reason given for the switch.

Whilst I hope the BBC see sense and revert back to the old voting format next year, the only way we, as viewers, can seek to bring this about, is by expressing your views direct to the BBC via their website, not just by spouting off in forums like these.

Note also, despite the BBC stating the reason for moving the Saturday results show to Sunday, was so that younger viewers could see it, the most important results show, the Final, is late on Saturday!!

We can also express our opinion by not voting in this week's final. The BBC are not going to like it if the poll is down in the final week. My belief is that Gethin has a large following and if a sufficient number of them don't vote it will make an impression. I have made my views known on the BBC message board. I am convinced, however, that someone from the BBC reads DS. Because of the dance off we are now going to have a final that will be a walk over for Alesha which is a great shame. She deserves better.

I personally believe the final would be a walkover for Alesha regardless of which of the boys went through.

No reason why she couldn't have walked over Gethin. I think the final will be exciting as the right couples are in it.
Nonetheless, I also don't like the changes the Beeb made to the format this year. Also, the dance-off doesn't make much sense, because the judges nearly always pick the couple who they gave the highest scores on the night - only in two cases they didn't.

Well that depends on the public , the judges can do little to influnece the outcome , no matter how many 10s they dole out .
