What 5 dances? Final week.
A showdance + their fave/ highest scoring dance = 2

What else?
Anyone foresee quality issues here? Naming no names.

Watch it, another bait.

True Alesha and Matt's fans, don't be tempted to bite. Let those sour grapes invade this one as well.

How about we just wish them both luck and wait and see?

Can I say, as a very tearful and still emotional Gethin fan, that I do wish them both well, very, very well, and may the best on the night win.

I also think, though - and apologies if this has been discussed to death elsewhere, I've been avoiding some threads - that I think 5 dances each is STUPID. Last year's final I was supporting Mark and I loved the result and I was still sick of the sight of both of them by the end. Why can't we have 3 dances each and fill up the time with pro dances or even dances from Gethin, Letitia, Kenny - and even Kelly if she would? It would be a much better show and fairer to Alesha and Matt and I can't believe the idiots at the BBC didn't learn from last year.

But I do wish them both every luck and I hope they both dance at their absolute best.

I wish Gethin and Camilla to come back to perform a showdance.

Last year, both finalists looked tired and performed below par - and they were both professional sportsmen. It's not a good idea to have 5 dances.

5 dances is madness

It should be three. Then the other dances can be pro dances or a singer or something.

5 dances was stupid last year. I think best Ballroom and Latin then the Show Dance is more than enough. Add to that a ''group'' VW and the judges choice like last year and its too much. If two sportsmen found it hard how will two non athletes cope? I'd sick to three dances each and then let all the other couples back and have a full routine to do, and not just a 30 second. They did it on DWTS intersperced with the story of the series and I thought it worked well.

Totally agree with you jtnorth. I too was sick of the sight of both couples by the end of last year's final, not to mention I actually felt quite ill seeing how exhausted they looked.

I don't call watching people drag themselves exhausted from one routine to another entertaining.

Think I will be giving the final a miss now that I know it definitely is 5 dances - yuk!

Totally agree, it's quantity over quantity.

I'd rather see them dance 3 dances beautifully than 5 ok.

Quality issues... maybe...

Standard in performance will certainly suffer and despite having thoroughly nailed my colours to Gethin, I will say that would have been the case whoever was in the final....

Heck only two rather over competitive pro sportsmen managed to pull it off last year.

So sorry the last four probably even five contestants would have been under the cosh come next Saturday.

I too would prefer 3 dances in the final (actually, would prefer 3 couples...). Would have loved a showdance by Gethin and Camilla (not sure how enthusiastic they'd be about the training though) and would love to see Kelly and Brendan get a full dance - whether a repeat of one or a showdance. I think it would be a lovely gesture towards Kelly. I'd also like a group dance by the eliminated couples. Filler, yes, but if it meant we got 3 really good dances instead of 5 ok ones, then surely all the better.

3 dances seems enough.

Most of us would like more pro dances.

No amateur can be expected to pull that off. It just degrades the show even further.

I agree - I think 3 good quality dances each would've been enough. Perhaps they could have the couple's favourite dance, the judge's favourite dance and the showdance?

There are enough eliminated people now, both pro and celeb that could provide some other dances in between.

Does anyone know what the 5 dances will be yet? I'll be watching ITT shortly to see if it's discussed.

five dances is ridiculous - I felt that both showdances were disappointing last year and I'm sure it was just lack of practice

I would prefer 3 dances too.
I want them to do an amazing show dance each but they arent going to get the chance to if they have to practice 4 other dances at the same time!!!
Its just going to make them both ill (along with Matthew and Flavia) by the time saturday comes.

Has anyone made a formal complaint about this to the BBC? There's probably not much hope of changing anything before Saturday but I think it really is absolutely ridiculous. I haven't seen a single person who thinks 5 dances in the final are a good idea after last year.

Well lets see this year there have been 3 times the amount of tens than before.

We are told that this year is so much better

so being that they are so good I expect that 5 dances should be no problem

Come on, I'm in a laughing mood. The OP sounds like a social worker, they love the word ' issues' - its a good word, its the word you use when you cant think of another.

I've made a formal complaint to get rid of Bruce Forsyth, if that's any help.
