Good....I'm glad they are investigating it.

Oh really I did not watch that. Oh suprising if they know this can happen why they don't install enough lines.

sorry getting ofcom into the fray is just a total waste of time.
bottom line i want to see out of this is a system in place that means on finals like this people know they can get through when they wanna vote its that simple.
Ofcom are all yap and fart.

Leon won by 10% - far too big a margin for any problems with the phone system to have affected the result.

Haven't ofcom got anything better to do with their time than waste energy on the X factor vote - us taxpayers and viewers pay their wages!

Apparently 80 people who were upset that their favourite lost now want to try and ruin it for Leon.

I voted for Leon as he is Scottish and i'm English .However i voted a few times for him and had to try and try as the phone lines for Leon were all engaged too .Rydian was a great act however he did NOT win i wish people would accept it and move on .Leon deserved to win he was fantastic .For me Rydian just looked very odd however not as weird as Same Diffrence.

Hope you remember saying that the next time you're held up in traffic because BT are digging up cables to increase the entire land line network for RTV phone vote lines

ETA: or more seriously you can't get through to the emergency services because all available lines have been allocated to an RTV phone in service.

10%? That decimal point has moved backwards and forwards several times since Saturday.

What better could Ofcom have to do than investigate any type of possible fraud against the paying public? Intentional or not.

That's what they're there for.

Leon deserved to win he was fantastic.
True. He was breathtaking. So breathtaking that judging by this morning's performances on GMTV he appears to have taken his own breath.

I tried voting for Leon too but got the busy message from BT too. I don't think a simple attempt was counted.

And I'm in Scotland - where all the telephone lines were automatically set to dial the number to vote for Leon.

Ofcom shall be getting my complaint!

Well here's what I think but as you've probably guessed I do have something of an agenda:

- Saturday's result is held in abeyance until Ofcom's investigation.
- Ofcom direct ITV and Simon Cowell to postpone release of Leon's single until all investigations are complete.
- ITV ordered to refund everyone who took part in the telephone vote on Saturday.

As to whoever suggested Ofcom should have better things to do, surely this is what Ofcom are really therefore rather than wasting time on petty issues like censuring Casualty for showing exposed intestines before the watershed?

Actually this is not the responsiblity of Ofcom. Complaints have gone to the wrong regulator but I suppose they will pass them on
