Oh goodie, cos I'd like to rant about the inconsistency of the Judges decision making and what the rules of the competition are:



I refer to Arlene and Craig this evening on ITT saying that they had to judge the Dance Off entirely based on those 2 particular performances.

So what about all the "so and so has more potential" and "based on consistent performances so far in this series" etc etc said to other couples in previous Dance Offs?



As a viewer I am totally confused, and I believe all 4 Judges are equally confused as to what the actual rules are and what they're looking for. Equally the BBC have not been very transparent in explaining the voting to the viewers, we are just asked to "keep voting for your favourites" week after week by Tess.

I think for the Judges to choose which couple went through to the Final rather than it be based purely on which 2 couples received the most votes is scandalous, and as a viewer I want to know the results based on viewer's votes.

It's all a sop to the Judges to have exactly who they want as the winner. They've been moaning for the last few seasons about their favourites being voted off by the public, and have shown yet again early on in this series who their favourite is, and have said so over and over again in interviews who they want to win.
There is no objectivity or impartiality in their views and scores.

I feel no excitement about the Final at all, as it's clear who is the better dancer and who will win. The contestant who could've upset the applecart and who would've been a worthy winner as befits the show's ethos of taking someone who couldn't dance and turning them into a dancer, and who has demonstrated the fun and spirit of the show at all times, was knocked out and will be having to watch.

If it was viewer based I would accept it, but if, as I suspect, the Judges overturned the viewer's verdict then it makes me mad, and very sad, and I feel was a horrible sleight to Camilla, a Pro deserving of a Final place.

I bloody HATE opening milk cartons.

I am most angry about Len's 10 for Gethin on Saturday. The other judges were 100% right when they gave him 8s. Terrible judging. Len in this series, has got too big for his boots - he is just deliberately contrary at times.

I want to have a mini-tantrum about Craig. he has now started going on about Alesha's footwork - fine, but he has only mentioned it ONCE in the entire series - even when he's been disappointed with her dances he hasn't touched on the footwork at all

to be fair to Arlene, at least she has been more consistent about that

As this is a Tantrum Thread, why are you making a nasty sarcastic comment about my post?

Don't bloody read it if you don't want to.

Some of us don't spend all our time camped in threads reading every post, and would like to express our views on a particular thread designed for exactly that.

Craig is trying to justify his not giving ten to Alesha. Obviously her 'footwork' was not quite an issue in the sense that she's making major jarring mistakes, but simply not 'good enough' for him to award a ten.

Rest assured, Craig is getting his tens ready for Alesha in the finals. There will be lots more tens coming Alesha's way in the final to be sure...

Not to yours in particular. But I think it's the overall impression I had on the posts here. It's a tantrum thread but it's still very vexing to read them. But I still want to read them. Yes, I know I am an oxymoron...

Unfortunately the trouble with this forum is that people go into threads just to be annoying and sarcastic rather than actually acting on the thread's title.

It's impossible to keep up with every thread's argument unless you're on here 24 hours a day, and life is just too short to do that.

Okay - I have wanted a tantrum for a long long time but have been too worried about people's reactions on this forum. Still ..... as this is a tantrum thread.

Have been consistently underwhelmed by Alesha since the show started. I think she is sloppy and has got through on previous dance experience. I have not been wowed by a SINGLE dance she has done and thought the AT was absolutely rubbish - culminating in bent legs and (again) sloppy footwork. I think she has been the judges' favourite since the show started and this has been reflected in the (sometimes) ridiculous scoring. I am sick of the "nan's" and the dog and would have loved Kelly to continue to at least give some sparkle to the whole proceedings. I will not be watching the final - save to see who wins which I hope is Matt.

Now I come to think of it, I have not been wowed by a single dance in this entire series. Somebody else on the forum said at least one person in every series has made one dance their own. I do not think this has happened this series. The closest has been Gethin's salsa and that wasn't that close.

There - done - will not darken this thread again - please direct your vitriol towards me somewhere else because I will not be reading.

OK, this is the place to get it off my chest. I hate people saying alesha has dance experience because of being in a group. What she did in her group was entirely different to ballroom and latin dancing. Anyone saying this is only saying it to make their favourite look better or they are plain jealous that she is so good and is too much of a threat to their chosen one.

Furthermore Matt did not deserve 10s for his waltz on Saturday, I dont care what the judges say, to me it was very ordinary and in no way outstanding and deserving of 10s. Even if, as they say, his technique was right, where was the bl**ding performance/presentation element? I've seen him dance better than that in an earlier programme and he got much lower marks.

It really gets on my nerves the way that some Gethin fans are moaning like hell about Matt being kept in as until three weeks ago Matt was considered by most to be a better dancer than Gethin.

Two weeks ago Gethin almost, but not quite kept up the standard he reached the previous week - he stayed in after the judges and the public voted.

Two weeks ago Matt's nerves took over and he couldn't perform his dances properly to the point of not properly and it affected his dancing - he stayed in after the judges and the public voted.

On Saturday Gethin almost, but not quite kept up the standard he reached the previous week - he went out after the judges and the public voted.

On Saturday Matt pulled it out of the bag and returned to form, conquering his nerves and bettering his previous standard of dance - he stayed in after the judges and the public voted.

Gethin fans - I loved him and Camilla, but somebody had to go on Saturday and Gethin is out and the BBC will NOT change that decision so stop making fools of yourselves and moan like normal people!

PS Although I love M&F, I'm an Alesha fan BTW!

I agree... and I am a Gethin fan that some people have been silly... but as I said in another thread, we're not all the same and it is a HUGE generalisation of Gethin fans that really gets on my nerves
