Totally, totally agree. Geth & Cam have dealt with it gracefully, why the hell can't some fans?

Yes it was wrong they went, yes the final won't be as much fun now, yes we'll miss his general gorgeous and yes the judges (well Craig & Bruno at least) have almost admitted they messed up with their votes (in my eyes anyway).

But if they did come back, it would make the whole show on saturday a complete joke. Don't complain to Ofcom or whoever - you make the rest of us Gethin fans look like sore losers.

In a perverse way, this might actually have done his career (and therefore our chance at ogling him on TV) a lot more good by seeming to be hard done by, but being such a gent about it all. You won't be whinging about that in a few months time will you?!?!?!?!

Haha this is fun isn't it! Hmmm..... doesn't it make you wonder if they were real 'fans' at all. I genuinely feel they would be embarassed to read some of the things people have put! My friend and I were thinking of sending Cam the link for her appreciation thread, but have decided against it because some people started having an argument on there about this weekend.
Before that, it was one of the nicest threads on here... but there is no way I would want to show her what some people had written on there

There's actually a really nice thread on the bbc site where it is just people saying 'thanks' and 'congratulations' to Gethin & Camilla for being so entertaining over the whole show.

I guess some people are 'fanatical' rather than just 'fans' (although wondering if series linking BP from now on to get a sneaky peek at him is pushing me into fanatical!)

WHY OH WHY did the BBC not foresee that someone having to drop out might happen again and have some sort of contingency plan in place??? It happened last year, and it was hardly last minute, and the best they could come up with was a gruelling five dance final which showed neither couple at their absolutel best IMO, and got to the stage where they all looked frankly knackered, and people were sick of the sight of them and just wanted to know who'd won!

They must have had some idea it was a possibility this year - not necessarily because of fears for any one celeb, but just for common sense, that they might have a disaster, someone might break a leg, etc etc...

They could have counted Kelly leaving as that week's eviction, they could have arranged some sort of double eviction that could be taken out if someone dropped out, they could have had one of the weeks further down the line as a rollover week in the case of someone dropping out...

Any number of things could've been done without messing up their precious schedule and without giving us 1) a semifinal with a dance off, which I always thought was a bit dodgy with 4 couples but was IMO a silly idea when we only had 3 and 2) a stupid 5 dance final instead of the dancers being able to really work on absolutely perfecting and beautifully performing 3 dances.

Argh.

Nice to know that pretty much all the pros on the panels were wrong as well on Gethin it seems.

Then they are idiots!! I mean, how could they not have learned from last year? Alesha, Matthew, Matt and Flavia are already exhausted.
