Is there any need for a table top stand?

PANASONIC

TH37PX70 without £614

with

£719

If your planning on getting a floor stand later on surely there's no point spending all that extra money for a table top stand in the meantime?

No point buying a TV you can't use at all, the majority of flat screen TV's are probably stood on stands anyway. But if you're wall mounting it, and can buy it cheaper without any mount at all, then go for it.

Sorry I don't understand that reply. Where does it state the TV doesn't work?
As I said I'm not wall mounting it I'm going to put it on a floor stand.

If you buy a TV with no stand at all, it's all but unusable - you can lean it against a wall where it then falls over, but that's about it!.

If you're buying it with a floorstand, then fair enough - but you MUST have something.

Say a Panasonic on a floor stand the other day, I thought it was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen!

May not be the one you're looking at though?.

No, just leave the TV in it's box until you have the stand?
