Personally I'd want the jive and foxtrot from Alesha but the vast majority of her performances have been so good I'm sure I'll be happy whatever they do.

I wanna see Matt's jive again, but I'd have thought they'd do Salsa instead (not that I'm unhappy with that it was awesome).
Apparently they each have 5 dances to do on Saturday; I'm not sure but understand that this consists of 1 BB & 1 Latin of their own choice; and 1 BB & 1 Latin that is the judges choice, plus of course the freestyle that normally features in the results part of the show.

my only worry about his salsa is that there a couple of moves that could REALLY go wrong - I think it would be quite risky even though it was his best dance by far

Yeah... I think the risk of Flavia breaking her neck is a bit much - not a sleight on Matt's ability, just with five dances to do, it's more likely to go wrong through fatigue more than anything. Unless of course, they do it first.

First up I do want Alesha to win,I think shes deserved it and has been consistantly good throughout the series
Second I did like her jive just not as much as Kellys..and I do admit I was unreasonably annoyed by this imo rather snide remark..although I do conceed she is probably capable of equaling Jill's jive given a show where she is not exhausted by the sheer weight of five dances.
I do not think with 5 dances to do that either Alesha or Matt will be able to give their best..I also think that with Arlenes remarks and now Craigs on Aleshas footwork the jive may lay her open to their criticism more.
To me having the Cha Cha Cha with the Beyonce music (rather than the xmas music) will energise the crowd and give her that edge over Matts say Salsa.
I just wish she could do the quickstep again this week but the Waltz and the Cha cha would I think be pretty much unbeatable..possibly with a salsa or jive to the judges choice section(assuming the music is good for that)
It's difficult, isn't it - do they pick their best dance by far, and risk it not being quite so special the second time, or go for something where they can show improvement? Personally, if I were M&F I'd go for the AS and the jive, which were very good and people may have forgotten how good they were, over the salsa, but I can see the argument for doing the one most people will be expecting to see.
Alesha - I'd do the waltz. Got to be honest (sorry in advance) all Alesha's Latin's have been good but they all blur together in my mind. That's just because I don't know the difference between a cha cha and a samba, not a criticism of her. For me, they are the one where she was in the pink, the green or the white. I couldn't pick one from the other.

It is a risk either way I think - looking back to previous finalists, Mark R repeated the tango to show improvement - some judges saw it, some didn't. Jill H repeated the foxtrot and didn't wow as much with it in the final...
All this second guessing, I expect they know exactly what they want to do *grin*

Ooops! Wasn't meant to be snide in the slightest - I love Jill's jive (watched it only last night
). The thing is, it has been held up as the gold standard, and I think it's been a bit of a deterrent ever since. I think I continued in the MMAA thread that I thought Kelly's jive to be closer in style to Jill's jive than Alesha's was - I thought her jive was great. Alesha's is a different style of jive (due, in my head! to the music), so no direct comparison.

...I've had that problem with some in the past. Threw me a little as well because the colour of dress changed in the final!
There was an interesting thread posted a while ago which had some of the basic characteristics of various dances put up, it was quite informative! 
Is the "not the dance from the semis" a rule or a guidelines or just assumption?
I'm really hoping we get to see Matt's QS without the patent shoe problem.
When it boils down to it I think I'd like to see any of Alesha's again!

To be honest I want to see her do a dance that the judges won't pick at and I think she has a better chance with the cha cha particularly if she can whip the crowd up

Let's compare with Stevie Wonder's "Alright" (JB's Cha-Cha)

Secondly the rhythm is just wrong. If you listen to the sung chorus "got me looking so crazy right now, your loooove..", it's a syncopated rhythm which is antagonistic with the Cha-Cha rhythm 1,2,3, Cha-Cha. The 1 is the most important beat of the bar and "your looooove" is syncopated before that, leaving no emphasis on the correct beat in the song.
Compare Alright: "BAby. Everything is alright. UPtight." The words in capitals land on the first beat which is also emphasised in the song.
Sorry but this song just smacks of "Alisha is being compared to Beyonce, let's have her do a Beyonce song. What dance can she do to it? Cha-Cha???"
I know they used it in DWTS, but they have also used the Ghostbusters theme as a Cha-Cha, so it's not like they have the best music there either.
Plus Alisha didn't dance the Cha-Cha too well either - little hip action, and little straightening of the legs - classic technique points.

I hated Alesha's Cha cha cha. I really hope that she doesn't do it for the final.

I did say I wasn't quit3e sure - apparently they each choose 2 dances of their own choice; then have to dance qs or jive to music of judges choice, then VW; then the freestyle
