I'm going for 1 year 6 months purely because he is now contracted for a year before he will get dumped like all the others by Simon's minions.

And all the silly people on the Appreciation Thread should feel ashamed that they are all playing a part in giving this poor guy false hope he is really THAT good!

I don't wish for his career to be over or anything like that. I don't like him but I wish him luck for the furture. He wont be another Shayne Ward that's for sure, and even more, he will defo not be another Leona Lewis.

I think his career could go on a while because in the studio his pitch problems will be sorted out.

all this negative press about fixes etc aint going to do him any favours.
and tbh live versions of his song arent very good,i tend to suspect cowell will string him along for a few month and then drop him,or he could try a few singles to see what the reception is before making full album.

SD did have charisma but Leon had none! He was just a shy boy with an ok voice, but Rhydian did have presence

Cowell says he is doing the same thing as he done with Leona. Keep people waiting for his album

In other words let the publics dislike calm down while he send him off for training - not just in his voice but also in his personality. Then bring him back halfway through the next series so he can use that as a platform to give him national TV coverage and sell more records.

Shouldn't Ofcom be investigating Simon????

Cowell never really seemed to like Leon or be that enthusiastic about him. Will he really bother or just go to American Idol and give Leon the Brookstein treatment of an album of covers quietly released almost a year later? I notice he isn't paying for Leon and his family to go on holiday like he did Leona for example.

Oh come on darling, I'm a Rhydian fan and I really think we should give more credit to Leon! Personally I think he has a lovely voice and he really impressed me with his version of 'Long&Winding Road' which could have easily gone sooo badly for him. He surprised me and he may yet still do by being around for decades yet

Only time will tell of course, but lets not write him off before hes even began...thats just mean

Probably the most likely scenario.

Maybe he'll buy him a bottle of shampoo instead
