He definitely could. I'm basing my current judgment on the realisation that any time he came out of his comfort swing zone on the show, usually the results were less than earth shatteringly good. But, like you say, let's give him time and see what happens. The recording studio is a whole different beast to the live performance arena.

PS The ONLY reason Leona had time/money spent on her IMO was the interest from one of the US music business' heavyweights, that Frank Butcher lookalike. I would be very surprised if there is huge US interest in Leon. But if there subsequently turns out to be, I will be only too willing to admit I was wrong.

I don't think any Leon fan is deluded enough to think he's the finished product, I'm certainly not. Yes he does have areas to work on, just like most singers.

All I'll say is lets wait and see, don't write him off just yet. People were doing so with Leona last year and we know what happened there. Time will tell.

I think Leon has done wonderfully well, considering all this rubbish set against him. The huge influence of the Welsh boycott will also have affected sales. This hasn't happened before with XF.

I shall cut and paste this when I catch you being sneakily horrid to my lovely Leon

I thought the Winner's song exceeded most people's expectations and also Relight My Fire, both out of his comfort Zone, Long and Windind Road was pretty good too.

I guess we have differing ideas as to what constitutes our expectations being exceeded.

Neither would Rhydian. Rhydian had 40% of the final vote. What makes you think that he would have more sales of "When you Believe"?

This is the second time you have come up with a 40% figure for Rhydian/60% for Leon. Where are you getting this from when most of the other reports that there was10% in it?????

Yes I thought it was 10% seperating?

Still your point is valid-even Leona didnt sell as many as Shayne and she had an extra days sales as well.

Doesn't really mean anything in the end as long as it sells ok and gets the top spot!

Leon had 10% more of the vote than Rhydian. That means Leon had 60% and Rhydian was on 40%. Louis was interviewed and mentioned Leon's extra 10% and I've heard it on other news reports too.

If Leon had 60% and Rhydian had 40% that would be a 20 % differencce. (60 - 40 = 20)

For a 10% difference the percentages have to be 55 and 45 (55 - 45 = 10)

I think you have probably just added 10 % to 50 % to get Leon's figure, but in doing that you are simultaneously taking 10 away to get Rhydians, thus making a 20% (two 10's) difference.

My issue with him isnt really his voice, its his overall performance and presence. Some people like ryhdian and leona just have it with out much effort others just don't, its part of having the xfactor which rhydian has and leon hasn't.”

Are you serious? Rhydian had years and years of training both vocally and stage wise, Leona went to stage school, as did Sarah both her and Sean have been performing for years, they also had their own vocal coach. If you are going to make sweeping statements like this at least get your facts straight.
