RGB-only (picture only) scart - help!

Hi

I recently received an Ixos XHT601 from Audiovisualonline. I actually ordered an Ixos XHV601 - which is the picture-only version.

The guy said give it a go - my only concern is that the picture quality will not be as good as the one I wanted because it is not picture-only. Although he did go on to say that both QED and Ixos had dropped that 'picture-only' line of scarts ... ?

Help! I can still get the one I want elsewhere, but would this one do an equal job please?

I have a Sony 40" LCD and the scart will be for Sky+ (not HD).

Thanks in advance.

These jokers just sent me the wrong lead too, are they all drunk or what?

IXOS Scart instead of a DVI-HDMI one.

Doubt you will see any difference, of course if your surround sound breaks down you will be stuck watching sky through the RF so having the audio might be a blessing.

Oh dear - scart instead of DVI-HDMI, what a nightmare! Thanks for the reply anyway!

I had a IXOS scart or two, the sheilding on them is some over the top sh*t Mylar outer jacket for a start, so you should have no problems with R.F. & E.M.I. bleeding through. And performance wise I couldnt fault them, forget the model numbers, one was a flat lead 1.5 meters & the other was the same but with the round standard cable, both were petrol blue with silver & gold heads.
