I just saw a trailer for the new series of Where the Heart is, and what a lot of ex-soap people are going into the soap.

A new family is being introduced, and from what i can make out, it comprises of the following:

Samantha Giles (Ex-Emmerdale, Bernice Blackstock/Thomas)

Andrew Paul (Ex-The Bill, Dave Quinnan)

John-Paul Harvey (Ex-Night and Day, Tom Brake)

Didn't see who the 'daughter' was, but no doubt it will be yet another soap off-cast!!

Im not sure but I think there are 3 children, Im sure it said that on NIGHTSCREEN months and months ago.

Yeah, sorry, there is three kids, but i have only seen two - the son mentioned above, and a daughter ( who i must say looks familiar, but i can't place her, yet!!).

Don't know whether the third child is male or female.

Nice to see Brookie's 'bad lad' Terry, make an appearance in Corrie last night.
He played the mate of the guy with the date-rape drugs.

Looks like were going the same way Austriala did in the 80's.

I don't about you but I used to like spotting the same actors on all the different soaps. I think at one time Oz only had 15 actors!!

Not forgetting that several actors moved from Where teh Heart Is to other shows. Both the mother and father Harris family in Corrie were ex WTHI stars

I think he was a loan shark or something.

When Alfie had some dates in eastenders the other week, one of them was from family affairs and the other one was from hollyoaks.

It is getting a bit like oz soaps!

That woman from Family Affairs is in nearly EVERY bloody advert going! She's in a Specsavers one, she's in the Summer fruits sweets one, she's also been in the ice-white one, the Sure one, the BT one, I've lost count of the others.

Third child is female and is younger than the other two. Possibly about six years old.

It's funny that from just that vague description I can tell who you mean. She seem to have been in loads of adverts. Off the top of head there's; Yakult (trillions), Specsavers, Ford Fiesta (Sunburn), Campino Summer Fruits, Sure ("He's seen you naked..."), Whitening Gum, and I just know that another will come to me the moment I finish writing this.

Now i have Heard before that she was in Family Affairs, on the odd occasion where I have seen it, (That Pete Callan is always scowling at people isn't he?) I can't say that I have ever noticed her. I can remember "the one who went into Casualty" and she was in it right when it started.

Any ideas as to what her name is, and anything else she's been in. Was she in Eastenders as Alfie's date or am I getting my wires crossed? Could she have done a shoot for FHM or Maxim or Loaded or similar? Shoots like that are haven for Z-list celebs in need of some publicity. WHO IS SHE?

She seem to me to be stuck in the position where she can bag an advert job no sweat, but TV roles are thin on the ground. If she's not careful, she will be typecast as 'the girl from all those adverts'


Not only are Sam Giles and Andrew Paul joining WTHI but Keith Barron is too.

I must have seen those adverts a ton of times and I never realised that it was the same person, she looks slightly different in everyone of them, but then I try not to pay atention to adverts, because thats when they get you.

Did anyone see Holby City last night and saw who played the weepy, red-haired woman???

I'm sure it was the actress who used to play Holly in Night and Day, Phoebe Thomas i think her name is, but i missed the end credits

Her name is Cordelia Bugeja, I found that out within a mintue of seeing this topic.
