#1 in NEWZEALAND!!!

AND THE OTHERS.

NEXT STOP AUSTRALIA, In the first week she is #1 on australia airplay chart, so i expect her to get #1 there soon.

I think we can put to rest the absurd assertion that she is only doing well because of the xfactor!

Perez Hilton has been raving about her so she's pretty much known too everyone in the US

And after her appearance on American Idol, I think it's pretty certain she will be #1.

She is also smashing Belgium, Holland, Germany and Austria on the radio.

It's certain to hit the charts hard when its physically released there in January. Its only on Itunes at the moment.

The true test of Leona's success will be two things imo:
1. Will her album & single be successful when released in US
2. What happnens with her 2nd album
Leona does have a great voice but that does not necessarily translate into becoming a great artist. For now she has had great success with her album with the obvious attention her record company has given her. Sure she's a class above most X-Factors winners but time will tell if she will achieve the success and artistic credibility of a Kelly Clarkson or Will Young.

Yes time will tell like with anything, but time is already telling, the early signs are there my friend

It still shows her success is not just on the back of the xfactor.

Why?

On that basis Robbie Williams is not successful - because he has had very poor US sales.

By any stretch of the imagination, having a debut album selling over 1 million copies in the UK is success.

Well considering very few UK acts have international success these days, I think its fair to say we should care

The song is shaping up to be an international hit, the big test will of course be America. If she can crack that then her critics will be well and truely shut up.

What are you talking about? Many British artists and bands have international success. In the 90's the UK didn't fare to well in the USA but that has all changed now. Coldplay, James Blunt, Dido to name a few have done well in USA.

Look at any british's pop bands discography on wikipedia.org and you'll see many of them have success the world over. E.G Mel C is a major star over europe again.

You would think, but then it will just be "her second album is what counts.." and then after that "her third album is what counts.." etc etc.
