Black out and crash after viewing a recording

Since upgrading to .20 some weeks ago I have suffered from some new symptoms not seen before.
After viewing a recording and pressing the stop button at the end, the screen goes black and neither live TV or viewing recordings is possible until a reboot from the back switch is carried out. This is driving my wife mad as very often the next recording on the list is listed but will not play back. Selecting a recording further down the list seems to work.

Occasionally a screen warning of hard drive failure flashes up but then it often did before .20.
As others have said AR is unpredictable and I intend to go back to buffering.

Does anyone else experience this?

Ive had some similar issues. A reformat sorted mine out. Give it a go, nothing to lose.

I have been putting off a format but it does seem a good move, once we have watched all the programmes we have recorded.......next year?

This shouldn't happen, if the box is still under warranty (2 years) contact Humax and get it sorted out.
