I know there's been a lot of complaints here about HC/Tiscali but for once, credit where it's due! I'm on the 2 meg, Base tv pack. Not only is the tv picture quality excellent (On the "main" channels at least) but after various tests I've been clocking download speeds up to 4200 kbps, with tv off, which ain't bad at all! Not only that but I received an email from Tiscali today saying they'll upgrade my broadband to 8 meg from January for free! Nice one!!! I used Dan Elwell and Channel 5 gadget show's broadband speed campaign testers, btw and I live in TW12. So well done tiscali, 20 quid a month line rental included, gotta be the best package around!

Same here! I had Tiscali TV installed last week, Im on 2MB broadband and get around 4MB with TV off, and still get a full 2MB when TV is on, infact my broadband is rock solid.

Was on virgin.net before and had no end of problems but since moving to Tiscali has been really good so far, if it stays this way I will be a very happy bunny indeed.

I've had Tiscali TV for a couple of weeks now and I couldn't be happier.

I was really worried about picture quality on my 42" Plasma but I have to say it's brilliant. Even when watching the on demand stuff.

I'm really happy with it and now I know it's good quality will be adding Sky Sports to the package.

The on demand content is brilliant and I recommend the Music package if thats your thing. I've spent hours building up my own playlist of videos.

My one complaint (well, my girlfriends complaint) is that there is no Living TV.

same here i had tiscali now for two months and it great was on bt vision but compared to tiscali bt vision is rubbish.

i have been with tiscali 24 days and just cancelled direct debit, until they sort out my speeds

during day 7200kbps, after 6pm under 1mb and simple websites like speedtest and butlins wont load!! experiencing lots of websites not loading after 6pm, so tiscali can kiss my **** until they have resolved it

went from aol because they were capping my speeds to bt, when i ordered bt i ordered UNLIMITED well its not unlimited its 40gb usage a month i went slightly over and they capped without notifying myself when i called i said that i chose unlimited, look on their site says nothing about a 40gb cap for unlimited use. went to tiscali as they ""promised"" No capping if i dont use p2p before 6pm

well i now paying for 8mb when receiving under 512kbps at night, mind beats paying bt 24.99 for capping i now pay 17.99 for very slow 1mb speeds in eve so i might as well be capped with them

not busy exchange as others in town getting between 2-3meg on a busy evening

so wonder what b***s** tiscali have to say when they well finally call me with an update on tech fault

seems to me a line fault but no isp will listen as i get frequent dropouts on the dsl light and loose connection on a standard ethernet modem, but doesnt do it on my router so must be summit wrong somewhere

It's for Tiscali TV... as I've had to deal with the TV department at Tiscali to get my install sorted out I gather that Tiscali TV customers are on a slightly different network to broadband only customers? I could be wrong.

Incidentally, Tiscali TV tech support are great - every time I've called I've never had to wait, got through straight away. Oddly when I was a Homechoice customer, after Tiscali took over there was always a wait to speak to someone. Is this down to the fact there aren't many pure Tiscali TV customers out there?
