Doctor Who star David Tennant has laughed off speculation that he is planning to quit the show at the end the next series in 2008.

Finally some sense about this overblown catherine tate story! The article goes on to say he is doing the 2009 specials!

You can hear him deny this on Richard bacons tuesday show here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainf...live/bacon_tue from 1 hour 38 minutes in, although beware it has heavy spoilers for VotD.

Ermm.. There wasn't much doubt he was doing the specials.
The question was, is he coming back for the next full series after the specials? The thing CT let slip was that she thought this was DT's last FULL SERIES.

I'm glad they've started talking about four specials rather than three (the Christmas 2008 special and three in 2009).

I agree, though, that he has stopped short of saying he is definitely signed up for season 5 in 2010. All he really seems to say is that he hasn't quit yet.

On a side note, isn't it amazing that Doctor Who is now such a big show that there is so much high profile specualtion across the media as to whether David Tennant is coming or goign as the Doctor!
