If the're anything like previous years, they will be delicious. We missed the ordering deadline, so we've got to go into store (from tomorrow) to get ours.

IIRC, the price is not too different than last year, perhaps a little higher.

I normally have a Tesco turkey. This year I'm having an M&S though so should be nice.

I saw some in M&S today, my friend pointed out the size of the one she was getting. I nearly died of shock at the prices. I am sure living in the past, there was one there for £50! I've never bought one in my life, but the last time I can remember having Christmas dinner at mums, I think ours cost about a tenner, and we thought that was dear!

I've ordered a duck, chicken and turkey ballotine - it looks as though the three meats are all wrapped up together then topped with pancetta - scrummy. It serves 5-7 and costs £32.

OMG That's gross I hope that thought is out of my head by Christmas Day!

As for the M&S turkeys - I've had one from there for the past 2 years and they're always gorgeous. I'm going for the Free Range crown again this year I think, Hmmm can't wait. The only thing is though, I'm never organised enough to pre ordeer it so I'm going to have to trawl through the shops again!!

Your forgetting this is the year that they had to cull thousands of turkey's due to outbreaks/potential outbreaks of bird flu. So the prices have been hiked accordingly.

2 pre-prepared turkey products are from Brazil out of the range of 32.

The vast majority of the whole fresh birds are from Britain.

yep, M&S turkey's are gorgeous. You can get crowns, to breasts, to full turkeys - organic and non-organic. I've ordered ours in for around £30.
