sound qualiy from 9200t

When I switch viewing from analogue to my 9200T there is a marked reduction in sound volume and some reduction in quality. Is this a scart problem? If so a recommendation of a good replacement lead would be appreciated.

We find that the sound from the TV when using the Humax is a bit quieter than it would be if we were just picking up the analogue signal through the TV tuner. That's with the sound on the Humax turned right up .. if your Humax is at less than full volume, you'll be even worse off.

But it's normally OK if we use our surround sound setup. I guess the optical output from the Humax just passes through the signal it's getting without doing anything with it.

When you first install your Hummy, or do a "reset to defaults", the Hummy's volume control is set to about 50%. That is why there is a significant difference in the volume levels.

Most people set the Hummy volume level to 100% and leave it there; use the volume control on your TV to adjust listening levels.
