Absolutely. And it wasn't just losing her husband.. around the same time her record company (Polydor) withdrew its support for the album she'd worked her socks off to put together. She was given a "half a million" record contract (she probably never saw a penny of that money) but just because her 2nd single was not playlisted by the major radio stations (and didn't do well in the charts) they more or less dropped her. Imagine if a lot of the bands we know and enjoy were treated like that. This new concept of instant gratification is something I don't quite understand. Whatever happened to good old fashioned artist development?
Anyway, losing your livelihood and husband in the space of a month must have been really hard. Not only did she not have the usual promotion, recording etc to leave the house for, when she did go out she was returning home to an empty house
