I have done several searches but am still confused as to the best way for setting up my system.

1/ TV = Pioneer 50” Kuro Plasma
2/ Sky HD
3/ Sony Home theatre system 5.1 (Ht -SF1100)
4/ Pioneer DVD player DV-600AV (1 x HDMI, 1 x Coaxial, 1 x Optical)
5/ XBOX 360


Can someone tell me how to connect each device for the best video and audio?

HDMI Sky HD > HDMI Pioneer Plasma
Optical Out Sky HD > Optical In Sony HT-SF 1100

HDMI Sony HT-SF 1100 > HDMI Pioneer Plasma

HDMI Pioneer DVD > HDMI Sony HT-SF 100
Coaxial Out Pioneer DVD > Coaxial In Sony HT-SF 1100

HDMI XBox 360 > HDMI Sony HT-SF 1000
Optical Out XBox 360 > Optical In Sony HT-SF 1100



If I have read the specs correctly, the Sony has HDMI 2/1 which should allow HDMI pass through. It also states 3 digital inputs - 2xOptical and 1x Coaxial.

Unsure regarding the XBox 360 connection(s), if HDMI is not available then the next best thing will be Component. Pretty sure it has Optical.
