Probably a disgruntled non-Matt fan trying to cause trouble. I'm sure its not true otherwise we would all have noticed it. Sometimes, however, I have noticed the judges having a whisper to each other just after the dances, but that's probably just to say "that was good" or " that wasnt so good" etc.

Be best if someone who has been to one of these soirée's what the judges do whilst the TV audience is distracted. I heard it on here that the audience is run by clipboards telling them when to cheer how loud and for the "golden child" a standing ovation.

Yes, it is light entertainment. Yes it does feature goodlooking celebs and pro dancers. But it is also fiercely competitive, with the likes of Alesha and Gethin loving it and making SCD a fulltime occupation for 3 months, through toil, sweat and tears.

Underlying all the glitz and glamour is a bedrock of fairness and impartiality. Without this most important ingredient SCD transforms from a feelgood show into a feelbad show -- which it has now done.

Once unfairness is perceived, understandably questions arise whether it was due to muddle or conspiracy. Some of the speculation is no doubt far out, but they arose from an act of perceived unfairness right in front of 11 million viewers.

Well said Soulmate. I totally agree with you. The antics over last weekend has completely ruined the whole thing for me and, I am sure, many others. It really does make the final a farce which is a great shame having watched over the last three months and enjoyed it thus far.

Matts waltz had to get 40 if you compare it to the other dances in the competition which have scored 10's for sloppy footwork and basic choreography.

It doesn't really matter because Matt and Flavia are in the Final

Believe me I'm trying to be good but every now and then I get the urge to break out. A sort of hip wrenching impulse that explodes from a waltz into one of those paso's. Invective then gushes forth and leaves a stain on my character. I usually return to normal after a brief respite and sally forth once more into the fray. A forum member's lot is not a happy one.

Totally agree-it had everything-precise footwork, great posture, wonderful chemistry and those beautiful Matt hands. Personally I think he was underscored. He should have had a 10 for each finger-that's 100!

Ohhhh yes CAMBER I totally agree.
What about his wonderful arms - no other man on SCD has such beautiful arm movement like Matt.

Anyway, Matt & Flavia are in the FINAL

Beautiful feet! 10 for each toe?

Think it was Mattinee Idol for the ballroom and Mattadore for the Latin and The Fabulous Flav who are in THE FINAL.

He has got beautiful teeth!

Well, I think a full set is 32 so if we say 10 marks for each that's 320. Should molars score more as they're bigger? Let's say a round 400.

And what about that sexy 'cute' smile and those puppydog eyes.
For that alone he deserves 4 tens

Many people on here praising Matt's VIENNESE waltz.

Hmm, it wasn't a VW.
If you thought it was then that must mean its overriding "feel" was one of spin, rotation and speed.

For a waltz the impression is a slower rise and fall.

Well, I don't think it was a great waltz. Many people have commented on the rise (I didn't spot much) coming from knees and not feet.

It certainly didn't have any VW about it at all!

Artistically VW is exciting and slightly breathless. Waltz should be more intimate/ dreamy.

For a lot of us we thought the performance aspect was lacking. The facial blankness has been commented upon and Matt has taken quite a bit of criticism for his counting and undue apparent concentration on the next stage in the routine. At the expense of the artistic elements.

Just trying to explain...
It makes a mockery of having pro judges when they award 10s for such a dance. Nobody has merited a 10 so far.

But they are left at this stage having to hype up the programme when few of us can any longer stomach their empty superlatives.

Wow- thanks for reminding me.

And of course-

How many did he get for the waltz? 40 seems very low now.
Maybe it was meant to be 40 per step?

Let's see-90 seconds say 1 step a second-90x40=3,600 plus 1000 for the lovely beginning and ending=

4,600

That's better.
