Thanks, mods, for this!
The last time I saw her was on the Great British Menu where she was negotiating her way around the fiend that is John Burton Race and another chef called Ed. She'd lost the perm. |

Jilly was on that Sunday Cooks show ... which is, ermmmm, on a Sunday
![]() She had her nose in many a glass of wine. Whatever the cooks were cooking, she picked a wine that would go with it. |

I suppose now that you have loads of individual cookery shows on TV, they didn't feel
the need for the "Food and Drink" program any more. I prefer James May with Oz anyway. |

I used to quite fancy her when she first appeared on 'Food and Drink', but time hasn't been kind.

Was this the woman who used to preach on to people about how to eat healthily but herself looked gaunt and malnourished ? Urgh, that woman annoyed me!

I like when she and Oz were the resident wine experts on Food and Drink. As mentioned above, that was the show that made them famous, with their fruity language
They used to do a regular special Christmas edition with a blind wine-tasting competition, where she and Oz battled it out to 'guess' what wine/vintage. I was always amazed at how they got the answers spot on most of the time. |
