Favourite Supermarket?
What's your favourite supermarket that you have ever been too?
![]() Mine would be Sainsbury's, but M&S is vastly improving in my books. |

I like Morrisons - I've found things there that I've not been able to find elsewhere, they're quite good for funny little things for cooking.

Waitrose and M&S - don't tend to shop anywhere else (apart from local independent deli/greengrocers etc).

Asda or Sainsbury's. M&S is great but has to be a treat every so often because of the prices.

Although I dont go there often because its a bit pricey I think Waitose is a very good shop. They have a lot of fairtrade and eco friendly stuff. Their shops never get so busy and manic as most others. And their staff are the most friendly, polite and helpful shop people.

Asda for me, good value and good selection of brands.
I don't really 'get' M&S, whenever I go in there to have a look it's all just ready meals and I can never find anything worth buying! Maybe I'm just a bit too scummy lol! |

Morisson's is my local and I think it's my favourite mainly for that reason. I also like that it's open til 10pm and is rarely ever packed at the times I go in. Most importantly the shelves are usually nice and full.
My local Asda does many of the things I love in that no Frills style packaging so they're really quite cheap & thus I love them too. Jaffa Cakes for 29p that taste every bit as good as the branded ones, that alone makes me love them and I bought a bag of like 6 Chicken burgers for a little under a quid, great value although I'll hide them at the back of the freezer lest anyone find out I eat such things. The one thing I hate about Asda is that they are always packed and the queuing feels excessive at times, obviously much worse at this time of year, but I don't think the novelty of the self-service till will ever wear off lol! Love those things. |

I generally move around the 'big four' supermarkets. Forced to pick a favourite I'd say Asda, as it is almost always cheaper than the other three. That said, I do like certain things from the others, and will quite happily go there. For treats, and special occasions, you simply can't beat Waitrose. I know it can be a bit expensive, but they sell things that you can't find anywhere else, and taste fantastic, so you don't mind the bit extra once in a while.
So - Everyday Shopping - Asda Special Treat - Waitrose |

Waitrose and M&S are better for food, but of course are more expensive. Sainsburys seem best for quality out of the big 4, although their fruit and veg can be poor.

Asda, probably. I am loving their Christmas snack selections - especially the spicy chicken goujons, yumm

I find they all have stuff I like but I goto Tesco the most for value and choice.
I was a die hard M&S fan but realised I could get the same for a lot less. My food bill is a lot less now. |

Morrisons by a mile! at the moment! has best 2 for 1 selections and offers! Asda seem to try there best at the cheaper pricing without 2 for 1's etc but dont reckon its working as as not of years gone by the other supermarkets pricing is catching up with asda! especially that of Tesco!
