Working lunch suggestions

I always find it difficult to think of new ideas for lunches at work, so I thought as we now have a shiny new food and drink forum it would be great to hear everyone's suggestions for unusual and tasty lunches.

I like taking pita breads or tortilla wraps to work - they're easier to carry than sandwiches since you don't have to worry about all the filling falling out and they're a nice change from sandwiches too, since there's not as much bread.

http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ has some fabulous recipes - I'm not a vegan, but they all look fabulous and the ones I've tried are delicious (though some might be slightly too complicated for this purpose!)

There's also three recipes here and on the following page:

And this is my favourite one of all:

At the moment, Bagels and soup are a winner for me at work because it is so cold. However I think I may experiment with bringing in last nights dinner for lunch, when I go back to work after christmas...cheap and cheerful.

My favorite type of lunch I can easily take with me to work and cook is either beef or lamb soup and some "oval bite" bread rolls from Greggs which look like this: http://www.greggs.co.uk/menu/bread-r...val-bite-rolls Alternatively, I might have one of those beef and pasta tub things which are cooked in the microwave, but I tend not to have too often, as they taste very spicy indeed!

in my freezer at the moment I have,

green thai turkey curry
chicken curry
sausage casserole
kung po chicken
bolognese sauce
black bean beef
paneer tikka

I cook around 10 to 12 portions at a time. Normally around 2kg of meat and 3 to 4kg kg of veggies (onions, carrots, peppers, celery, spinach, peas, sweetcorn, etc) and usually a couple of cans of various beans and the sauce. Portion into 500g freezer bags. Take out the freezer the night before and its nicely defrosted and ready for 90 secs in the microwave at work. I generally avoid refined carbs if I can so no bread, pasta, rice, etc. 500g is plenty on its own or with a bit of salad.
