Judges' Choice is a Jive (Alesha) and Quickstep (Matt) to "We Like To Boogie"

Agree with the "YESSSSS!" about "Holdin' Out For A Hero"!

Is the fifth one not a group dance? Seem to remember Matt and Mark taking it in turns to VW, I think!?

VW is the 5th dance, I didn't hear what song it was, or they might not have mentioned it.

It doesnt matter if he doesnt because they do it in the second show. By that time all the votes will be in.

Me too! And I'm feeling more excited than nervous, which hasn't been the case since we moved to 2 dances per week

I wish Craig told us the VW music!

I still think 5 dances is way to many - should be a fab night tho

Is the orchestra gonna bring in a special electric guitarist to play "Are you gonna Go My Way?"

Can't wait to see that! Of the 2 song choices, that one excites me much more.

I think Alesha is better at ballroom then she is Latin whereas Matt is better at latin then he is ballroom so i am slightly suprised Alesha is doing 2 latin and 1 ballroom whereas Matt is doing 1 latin and 2 ballroom? I think the quickstep would suit Alesha more and the jive Matt more.

I do like both showdance songs, hopefully if Matt does forget his routine he wont walk off in huff this time

Yeah, I thought it would be the other way around as well. But I don't mind really, both finalists are excellent in both disciplines

And Matt never walked off in a huff

So very pleased with their choices of their best/favourite Ballroom and Latin dances:

Alesha and Matthew (38/40): Waltz (Craig: 9, Arlene: 10, Len: 9, Bruno: 10) (A Time For Us – Johnny Mathis (Romeo and Juliet))
Top Score
Alesha and Matthew (39/40): Cha Cha Cha (Craig: 9, Arlene: 10, Len: 10, Bruno: 10) (Crazy In Love - Beyonce)
Top Score

Matt and Flavia (36/40): American Smooth (Craig: 9, Arlene: 9, Len: 9, Bruno: 9) (Once In My Life – Michael Buble)
Top Score
Matt and Flavia (38/40): Salsa (Craig: 9, Arlene: 10, Len: 9, Bruno: 10) (Vehicle - Carlos Oliva)
2nd Top Score

These four superb dance performances were arguably the best of the entire SCD5 series - congratulations to both couples on their perfect and wise selections.

Agreed on all of these except the Cha-Cha: inauthentic and bad technique.

I thought it was a good standard authentic cha cha (not the type you taught in beginner class but def in the style taught in the more advanced classes at my school) the music was unauthentic but that is not Alesha's fault.

For the length of time these celebs have been dancing the technique was not that bad either

The music is very important and the whole style of the dance is not imo an authentic cha cha. I think it's a great pity that she's chosen this dance.

If you had got 39 for a dance, would you go for one you got less for? It's clear to see why she chose it - it has such impact as well.

i loved Alesha's cha cha, i think it really suits her especially as she has been compared to Beyonce in the past.

What do you class as authentic Cha Cha - as with everything dances move on we dont teach the same cha cha I taught 30 years ago and that was an authentic cha done to lousy music BUT it had great impact with both judges and audience. Of this years current batch was probably the best Cha too
