Had Tiscali TV installed last week, the £19.99 package but now on the website the same pack plus 8mb bb instead of 2 is now £17.99.

I am already getting bb speeds faster than 2mb but I wonder if I will be charged this new price? Would be a little annoying if not. Good news for new customers anyway.

Yeah but the "free phone line rental" bit is now missing, in contrast to the £24.99 package on the right, on Tiscali's web page.

Must be just a mistake? Don't they at least look at their own stuff before publishing it?

I noticed that too, at first I thought that it didnt include line rental so was a worse offer than I had but then noticed that when u click on the link it says line rental is included.

Will have to see anyway if I get charged this new rate as I have not had a bill yet.

Well, today that bit has "quietly" been put back in!

Strainge, price has gone back up to £19.99 and free line rental has been added again.

Must have been a mistake due to the redesign of the site.

If you are being charged more for an identical or better package from Tiscali, you have to upgrade on their website. I know from previous experience that they will continue to charge you at the higher rate unless you yourself change it.

I received a letter saying everyone will be offered the upgrade in January. They have to modify the exchange.

I also got the letter telling me two new packages will be available from January.

For £17.99:

-Tiscali TV Variety Pack
-Up to 8 MB BB
-Free weekend calls
-Free weekend international calls

For £24.99:

-Tiscali TV Variety Pack
-Up to 8 MB BB
-Anytime UK calls
-Anytime international calls
-Free phone line rental


Seeing as I'm currently paying £24.99 for Base Pack/2MB/Free evening and weekend/Line rental included
the latter sounds like a good deal to me. However if it does turn out the former does include the line rental, I might switch to that, although I would prefer to keep my free evening calls. Anyone sure whether the first package is still as written or is now £19.99 with free line rental?

I've just noticed that the £17.99 package doesn't list free line rental. I thinks thats a typo, in the previous paragraph its says 'Completely FREE line rental'.
That must be for both packages, otherwise it makes no sense.
