Me four, although I love pork pies. I only like the pastry and the actual meat meat. I pull off the jelly and pick out the stupid bits of fat in the meat and eat that. My parents think I'm mental, because after doing this I interrogated them for ten minutes about it definitely being real meat and not MRM sh*t.

I take all the fat off everything, the taste is nasty and the texture makes me shake. I hate when it sneaks up on me, too.

He's right.

Pork chops are so dry these days because they are bred so lean.

Here's something that will make all your stomachs turn...............my mother eats raw bacon sandwiches.

She's 79 so it's not done her any harm.

I don't like most dairy products - cheese, milk, cream etc.

However, I like cheese on pizzas and chocolate milk isn't too bad. Hate cream though, can't stand the stuff.

I quite like eggs... As long as i don't think of them as liquidised baby chickens

I think you have made that phobia worse! I'd never thought about that.

Milk's something I've never been able to drink on its own. Although, I have milk in tea and coffee.

I've had years of avoiding eating cereal, because I don't like milk. I've got slightly over this as I've got older - but still rarely eat cereal.

Can't stand tomatoes either - although most things I eat seem to contain them.

Lucozade and pate - because it reminds me of being sick as a child and I have a phobia of vomit - sorry to be so charming.

I am the same about fish, as it made me nauseous when I was pregnant.

I can't eat the Cornish wafers in mixed crackers as I found a piece of string in it once. I found a bit of fluff in some Coke, so got put off that. If I have a revolting experience with food, it puts me off it.

I hate fat on meat and bones in fish. I was a really picky eater as a child and dissected every piece of meat, drove my parents mad

I had a phobia about pork products (still don't like pork, but can stomach bacon and ham) after a biology lesson about tapeworms.

I had a phobia about potatoes after seeing a huge root in it

I had a thing about sausages and sausage rolls, as the ends resembled cats arses, so wouldn't eat the ends. I don't like any mince meat now as it is too mysterious.

I was a vegetarian for 4 years and didn't miss any meat due to the scares in the 1990s but do eat steak, chicken, ham and bacon now.

I don't like the smell of offal at all, so won't eat it.

Also anything that is cooked on the River Cottage - I nearly died when I saw a plate of baby eels that resembled spaghetti.

Tomato Ketchup - it should be made illegal.

Bacon is probably my most detested food of all. It gives me the bolk just by smelling it.

I also hate:
Pork sausages, pork, anything else that comes from a pig, burgers, lamb, tripe, haggis, cabbage, most sorts of meat, chicken with bones, anything with bones in, all fish excluding tuna, butter, mayonaise, sweetcorn, TOMATOES, coleslaw, sprouts, funny kinds of cheese, rice pudding, cheese cake, quiche, meringues are disgusting, mushrooms, pickled onions, tomato sauce, cucumber, beetroot urgh...

I'll stop there.

Oh I have a psychological thing against beetroot as well. It makes me feel queasy. I think it's something about the colour...

Wow, some of you guys have major food hates, huge long lists of stuff that 'gies you the boak'.

I'll eat pretty much anything, with the exception of liver (a common hate on here, I've noticed), tripe, offal (except haggis, which I love -I just don't think about what's in there), and fish/seafood (ew!). I can eat the odd tin of tuna but occasionally even go off it if it tastes too 'fishy' (my OH thinks this is hilarious).

Mushrooms. I can't stand the smell of them cooking or the texture of them. Makes me sick even thinking about them. *shudder*

I used to have a dear of Tomato Ketchup when I was little, and I still hate but not to the extreme. Like, before I didn't even like touching the bottle because it looked so grimey!

I think cilantro is American for what we Brits call coriander.

This thread has had me in stitches. I bet you lot don't get invited to people's houses for dinner very much!

Cilantro - coriander? Some of it can taste a bit like detergent.

There's not much I won't eat.

I didn't grow up on offal so I have no taste for things like tripe, trotters etc I think it stems from the era where they ate everything as a necessity.

There is a tiny stall in St Johns market in Liverpool where a little old lady sells offal and I swear you'd never place half the stuff on an animal. It's the strangest, weirdest selection of 'food' I've ever seen. Not sure how people find it palatable.

Black pudding is lush though.

Squid because of the rubbery texture. and Broad Beans, I can't even eat them to be polite.
