Dannii on panel next year?
I would be not be surprised if Dannii were not one of the judges next year. She certainly did not seem to impress Simon, who actually said something along the lines of if you want to get on in this business ignore everything Dannii Minogue tells you, after Rhydian's Go West song.
Voting line issues aside, her handling of this contestant was amateur and could may have contributed to his loss. Dives for cover. |

When it returns next year it will have to be renamed Not Quite The Finished Product Factor or Sob Story Factor
It should be a straight singing competition, no sob stories allowed.......and more importantly only 1 vote per household allowed. And then I think you would return to the essence of what X Factor is supposed to be all about. Danni is marginally better than Lulu or Sharon so I guess she will be back next year.

They will never agree to 1 vote per household, think of all the money Simon and ITV will lose. At the end of the day , thats all Simon really cares about.

Simon has said Dannii will be back next year. He has also praised her a lot saying she worked the hardest out of the 4 judges as she sometimes did 20 hour days. Louis was the one in the VT that said "Ignore everything Dannii Minogue says"

My problem with Dannii is, as lovely a person as she is, she wasn't that entertaining as a judge and there seemed to be less rapport between the judges than previous years.
I don't mind if they want to replace Sharon (much as I like her she's not really been on the ball this year) or Louis but I think some change would be nice... |

No, Danni wasnt the most entertaining of judges BUT she was the judge who put most effort into her acts and she really did work hard with them. She criticised when necessary as a judge, and not for the sake of it. her criticism was always constructive too unlike a certain other judge. No other judge has ever had 2 acts in the final (i dont think) so it goes to show that shes a worthwhile judge

I thought Dannii was the best judge and mentor. As for Simon, he more than likely blew Rhydians chances of winning by making that remark about Go West. The whole camp Rhydian thing was what gave him his fanbase, Sure he could sing straight as well, but it was the glam Rhydian that appealed to many. Discarding that image was a mistake IMO.
Simon's a bit of a fuddy duddy on the quiet. Dannii had a better idea of how to present her acts and being a successful performer herself and also having a sister in Kylie, I think she probably knows more about presentation than any of the other judges. |

Dannii signed a 2yr contract, so she'll definitely be back. The fact she won also helps! She's the most competent judge imo

Aaah yes of course! Sorry lol. But I still think Dannii was the best mentor by far. Sharon used to be great with her contestants in the first series but not anymore

Yeah, in the first couple of years everyone wanted Sharon. Next year I think everyone will be wanting Dannii to walk though the door
![]() Sharon was the best mentor to have series 1 or 2. Series 3 it was simon as Sharon had gone down a bit, Series 4 Danni. Cos Sharon didnt spend a lot of time with her acts and in her book admits she hates mentoring and preferes to judge. |

She will be back next. Infact i think all the judges will. If a judge was to leave - i'm hoping it will be her.

Dannii will definitely be back. IMO, she hasn't been the most entertaining of judges but she has been the best judge. She has worked well with her acts and getting 2 of them into the final 2, and she has been the only judge to give constructive criticism on how to improve and not just slating/praising that specific performance.
I think Sharon was told to tone it down after the first episode but I think she will return to form next year. If a judge is to go, it will probably be Louis. Dannii will definitely be back as will Simon. Sharon will probably be back as she generates the most headlines and publicity. She is also one of the favourite judges (even if not on here, it was some poll ages ago and Sharon has over twice the votes as other judges). |

She took incredible risks:
"Andy - you are nervous and still finding your feet. How about dancing your way through a Bee Gees classic???" And then there was the the Michael Buble version of Can't Buy Me Love that Leon sang in the first week. A huge ask for a novice singer, so why were dancers sliding across the stage in front of Leon as he walked towards the camera?!! The whole approach to Rhydian was a risk. The first few performances certainly got the tabloids talking about him but they were not all nice things. And then there was the Marmite comment. Certainly not the approach I would have taken. So yes - on the basis of making the show a lot more interesting to watch, she will be back next year. |

Yes, it was announced yesterday on Sky that she is the first judge, ahead of Sharon, to have been offered a 2 year deal and has signed.
