Well recent precedents dictate, don't they?:
Paul McGann - hottish
Chris E - hot in a quirky way
David Tennant - sizzling hot

They will definitely take looks into serious consideration.

Well, my partner does seem to concur on that one. I believe she refers to him as "teh hot" (sic)

My wife would certainly agree he has hotability, but generally because he is playing the baddie and she always prefers the baddie (Lex Luthor is another of her favourites, though I should add that that's in Smallville...she hasn't got a thing for Gene Hackman).

So Sewell would have to be a rather evil brooding Doctor.

This just isn't working. Someone makes a suggestion, a few people agree, a few people disagree, a new suggestion is made.

We're going round in circles. We need a more methodical way to work out who the next Doctor should be.

And this is it...

Everyone should write the names of everyone they don't want to be the Doctor. There's no debating the names people put down. If someone doesn't like that person then they're no good as the Doctor.

So we'll do that for a week or so, giving those people who only enter the forum after an episode has aired a chance to cast their anti-vote.

Then, on January 1st we can take all the rejects out of the equation and whoever is left is our perfect Doctor! Can't go wrong.*

* Yes, I'm aware of the minor flaw in this plan. What if there is more than one person in the world who is left after the rejects have been counted? Easy, we'll pick the middle one - sure to be the safe bet.

He could be as brooding as he liked!

But he'd still be hot as a cheery doctor
